I'm thinking outside the box again. Once @JohnJ gets that woods cleared out and is ready to go we can crank this one out for those in the Sleepy Hollow hood. Gotta have a starting point to let 'em know ya survived another day. Such a great lp!5 points

You're thoughts on that are valid having just moved yourself! It might be a month before I haul in my treasures. Possible that I might get the hodge-podge flooring corrected after painting.5 points

Thanks guys, I'm expecting to have to do a little cleanup and then interior repaint prior to putting everything in. I'll show you guys later but the tightly pulled knock down texture from the ceiling is also on all the walls. I can see getting a five of an off white and using a 3/8 inch lambswool cover so that I do not obscure it. Then watch the lighting for a few months before adding any rich colors or finishes that would work well in there. Then that one tree I don't like!5 points

YES SIR JJ, that´s indeed good news, but might take a couple of weeks till your audiogear is re-activated in your new house and listening room , but it really doesn´t matter. Congrats !!!4 points

Congrats! I hope the rest of the process goes smoothly for you.4 points

Definitely one of my favorites. Got it on vinyl and mobile (CD). & George that would be nice... But mid January is more realistic if everything is ok with the inspection.3 points

There has been way too much that has happened since my last post. Shortest story, we moved to Rockmart Georgia in December 2021, I lost my wife of 41 years in August of 2022 and I have slowly, very slowly been moving in. I just got around to setting up the music room and it has been awesome to get back to great audio. There is so much more work to do but music breaks are awesome. Rosewood Khorns and vinyl with all tube amplification. Is there still an annual Klipch gathering in Hope or has that been a victim of the "cough"?2 points

I swear I don't know where you guys come up with some of the .gifs and other pictures you post! Bad part is I think now the IRS will contact me after I've been trying to contact them about unearned income since March of this year.2 points

I like it very much too. So I was torn between the laughing smiley and the heart, I went with the smiley...2 points

Picked this one up about a month ago and it's a great listen on vinyl. I just keep graivitating back to it as my first play. Nice to see him kick the beer and joint for breakfast routine. Full album Amazon's giving it a 5 star rating and it really does deserve it imo.2 points

You are correct, the K77M has the ceramic magnet, and it's response differs from the older alnico tweeters. You are on the right track looking for a k77M replacement, to preserve the proper voicing of your Khorns.2 points

The key takeaway is that while black vinyl used to be the only option for best audio quality, the advancements in vinyl manufacturing have made it possible to produce high-quality colored vinyl records as well. So, whether you prefer black vinyl or colored vinyl is ultimately a matter of personal preference.2 points

good reminder André , I got 3 or 4 Album from them .....but since the move I have quite a mess in my collection , so it won´t be easy to find them2 points

New stuff is colored - mostly, the older LPs are black. Have to watch out, if I wash the coloreds too often they will turn black too... 🤪🙃2 points

In ear monitoring has made a huge difference in the quality of live performances. I think Metallica uses the Waves Soundgrid for all their effects now, as well. Not as many microphones and re-amping to muddy up the sound.1 point

With some modifications to the furniture... I think I can now go up to 75". Likely going flat (not curved).1 point

Two pronged cable. It will be plugged into a surge protector and not directly to the wall.1 point

Wondering if anyone has the in wall surrounds and wishes they had the original full wall mount version. I have the wall mount... but room dimensions would be better served with the in-wall model.1 point

I guess that I will try to stack them. I was doing it more for room organization… and didn't expect the performance increase. I just got a new rack… so will get everything tidy soon.1 point

I'm concerned the XMC will be a bit dated by the time it is ever released. Maybe Emotiva will launch something "secret" to wow the fan base.1 point

That was a big concern when I was working on that center cabinet...There is no stain applied, only oil finish, that is just the difference in character of sheets. To lighten the tone of the wood we can use oxalic acid, which will lighten the natural tone of the rosewood on the center, or use stain to darken the L-R cabinets. This is a pic of a sample from the center veneer (on the left) and a sample of the old veneer that I used to help select the sheet for the center. PS: That set up looks good1 point

Hi - I was just given (for a quarter apiece) a huge collection of records. Some of them are quad. I'd like to buy a quad decoder, receiver, or anything that would allow me to fool around with these quead records. Don't know too much about this, so I don't want necessarily to spend a bunch of money. Thanks - Forrest1 point

nyuk nyuk - I am looking for a single or mateless........ Heresy II, Quartet, or Forte to use as a center speaker. I'm watching EBAY, of course, but wanted to ask here just in case....many thanks - feclough@aol.com1 point

Sir J: I don't know that I am capable of building one, so I'd hate for you to waste time figuring it out, if that's what you were offering.1 point
