  1. That is simple sounding, but keep in mind there is also a database that stores metadata about each attachment (including the size), which means each record would need to be updated with the new size info after the resizing application does its thing. This requires a bit of scripting and I just don't have the time right now. Not saying it'll never happen, just not in the immediate future. Indeed. However the server is not a physical server that sits at Klipsch. It's a server in the "cloud" at the webhost. I can't just plug in a couple hard drives to it. We have options - I've been looking into adding block storage to the server to help, but as I mentioned before the next version of IP.Board (this forum software) is supposed to support storing attachments on Content Delivery Networks (which we are using one of those already for the rest of our website), eliminating the need for block storage or physical storage methods. I agree. The Gallery application does this though. I appreciate everyone's patience. It'll all work out in the end one way or another. Give me some time. Got a lot on my plate at the moment, being the only web dev @ Klipsch & all Happy Cyber Monday!
  2. I don't think that's a feature on the new forum software. Yet.
  3. I don't understand the topic subject, but happy Thanksgiving nonetheless, all! Sent from my SCH-I605 using Tapatalk
  4. You're on vacation. Go away. Yes, but it's snowing in South Carolina!
  5. I doubt the developers got a huge chunk - but there is also a pretty big technology infrastructure that is required, plus paying for support. $647M worth? Doubt it. Even so, obviously those who were hired weren't the best, and there should have been an extensive testing period, which there wasn't one.
  6. I've had that happen to me once. Not able to troubleshoot why it happens yet, but I have a suspicion what could be the culprit.
  7. Only if they throw a billion dollars at ME.
  8. When looking at the image, it will auto-fit in the browser window depending on the window's dimensions. You can see the actual resized version(s) (it makes a few different sizes) by clicking on the "options" button when looking at an image in the gallery, then clicking the "View All Sizes" option.
  9. Just send them this URL, and wash your hands of it. http://www.klipsch.com/soundbars
  10. yes. that is exactly what it is.
  11. It is now (try selecting some text on a post and You'll see a couple options)
  12. Fixed. Try selecting some text in a post and see it As for the original question...Hopefully this selective quoting feature will help you.
  13. Link to get the app: http://tapatalk.com/m
  14. I've enabled this on a trial basis. Please note we will not provide support for the Tapatalk app. To view the forums via Tapatalk, download the app to your device, go into the app and search for "klipsch" Sent from my SCH-I605 using Tapatalk
  15. Yup. This would seem to be the easiest by far, for us, sorry Chad LOL What was funny? Guess I missed it. I was laughing at the "easiest for us" post.
  16. I've come across quite a few posts from members who seem to think forum activity is down since the upgrade. Here are some stats. As you can see, we aren't even through the month of November and we've already beat November 2012 for new topics and posting. October 2013 is still pretty strong considering the forums were down for 2 weeks. There is always an ebb/flow with forum activity, and there always will be. It seems (based on the numbers from Aug 2013 - now) that we continuing our "activity upswing". What I want to know is what happened in April/May 2013 that caused such a drop in posting/new topics?
  17. Yup. This would seem to be the easiest by far, for us, sorry Chad LOL
  18. I've actually looked into a plugin for this kind of thing. There are a couple possibilities.
  19. Exactly. BOOO! Edit: Topics are also ratable. Maybe we could put in something that makes you add a comment when you rate a thread? This way every rating has a comment associated with it. Just thinking...
  20. Yes, you can rate any member on their profile page using the rating stars near the top. This would be a good solution that wouldn't require any additional programming on my end.
  21. No problem. Now GET TO POSTIN'! I wanna see 50 new topics per day in this thing! (kidding of course)
  22. you can, but some sites put things at the end of the url that makes it error here. what's the url?
