  1. I posed this question to the seller: Q: Can you provide more pictures to show build quality, componants, etc. Like pics of the back of these would be nice. Thanks A: hello mr harley, unfortunetly i am not able to upload pictures on my knew computer, sorry, please keep in mind the picture on ebay does not do them justice, most of the components used in my cornerhorns are made by eminence speaker corp. in kentucky and are warrentied for 7 years. if you are ever in the seattle area, please come by and listen to my cornerhorns, you will be glad you did.thanks for your questions,if you have more ,please call me at 360-651-8992.
  2. The CD that I used to evaluate and purchase my Fortes so many years ago, and also the first CD I ever heard on a pair of Khorns and started my love affair with Klipsch. Flim and the BBs Tricycle. The title track has some awsome bass notes that just hit me in the chest with the fortes and with the Khorns, I was just floored by the realism. I can still remember the experience 20 years later.
  3. Ive seen the same ad at least three times in the last month. Last time it was listed ebay removed it. and YES, it Stinks to High Heaven
  4. All my prayers to you and your family Bob. Get Well Soon. Harley
  5. Hope is the midwest. WI is the Great White North lol Not that Im complaining, they make a damn good motorcyle up there
  6. I use a Russound SDB 2.1. Works great for me. I picked it up on ebay pretty cheap. It has volune controls but I never use them. http://www.russound.com/sdb2.1.htm Harley
  7. Ive always enjoyed the Yamaha recievers that I have had. Very clean sound. Have never needed more then 35watts to make my Fortes rock the house. I picked up the model I have now off of ebay for under $50. Good Luck. Harley
  8. The Celtic Women DVD is incredible. I have it and sounds outstanding. I love the concert dvds, I always rip the audio out and make cds so I can listen to them in the truck also. I agree with the "live" comment. Sick of people who can only sound good when they are processed through a computer in a studio. I also recently got the Eagles Farwell Tour I and agree with all the positive comments.
  9. Those are just gorgeous, and I will never have enough discretionary income to buy a pair.
  10. Does that room come with a money tree too, to buy all the Speakers ? Or maybe a winning lottery ticket, rich dead uncle, something, anything
  11. Bought my Fortes brand new back in 1987. I was 25 and had to take out a loan to do it. Was going back and forth between them and a pair of Polk Audio. Im so glad I went with the Klipsch. They are still rocking hard today.
  12. Maron, do you really think the Russians had absolutely no information on the F-15 that influenced the FoxBat. It may not be an exact copy, but you know thats what they started with. The Russians are notorious for copying western, especially US aircraft designs. The Tu-4 which was a copy of the B-29 Superfortress. The Tu-160 Blackjack which was a copy of the US B1 bomber and a miserable one at that. I agree with what your trying to say about the Klipschorn design. As long as hes not trying to pass them off as the real thing, more power to him. Hell, Im getting ready to build some for my own personal use. But lets not give our Russian friends too much credit in the aircraft design department. lol
  13. Chris I have an orginal pair of Fortes. Would this crossover work for them also. Is this something I can build myself. I have built a pair of Als ALKs for a khorn project Im working on. Sounds like the really bring new life to the Fortes. Thanks in advance
  14. Since the late 1940s Vitavox produced a licensed version of Klipschorn corner horn using their own drive units, mid horns and crossovers but with the bass horn designed by Paul Klipsch. The bass section is a folded corner horn designed to occupy a minimum of space yet produce deep bass and is arranged so that the walls and floor form the final expansion of the horn. I wasnt aware of this. Found it very interesting. Maybe everyone else has already heard of it. Some interesting info and pics on this site: http://website.lineone.net/~empson/Sys191.html
  15. Check out his feedback and what hes been buying on ebay lately. Klipsch componants and grill logos.
  16. I too would be interested in the plans to make these beautiful speakers. I wish I had your talent, but I would love to give it a try. I searched for a thread from formica with the plans listed but couldnt find it. Might just be too old. Thanks btw, did you ever get all the components and the x-over ? how does it sound ?
  17. That is really awful to hear about Flips. I heard my first Khorns at Flips and fell in love with the Heritage line. I bought my Fortes from them back in 1987. Thanks for turning me on to the best speakers in the world Flip.
  18. I feel so lucky that the Passive Radiators in my Fortes are still in perfect condition after being moved between my 6 different residences since getting them in 1986 and still sounding as fantastic as the day I bought them !!
  19. 1. What Heritage speakers have you owned, currently own, or want to own? Currently have a pair of Forte. Building Khorns, want a Belle for Center 2. What was your age when you first purchased a Heritage series loudspeaker? 24 3. What is your current age? 41 4. Why did you choose Heritage loudspeakers over another Klipsch model? Thats all there was back then, chose the Fortes over a pair of Polks 5. If you currently own some Heritage loudspeakers, and could purchase some more Klipsch speakers(new or used), which ones would you purchase? Why? Khorns, Belles, Heresy 6. Do you think the upcoming Jubilee should become part of the "Heritage" line, since it was also designed by PWK? dont know enough about it to answer
  20. Are the specs for the K-48 and the K-33 the same ? Can the K-48 be used in the Khorns, LaScala and Belles ?
  21. Is there a list somewhere that shows which drivers ar compatible with which horn and which tweeter/mid/woofer combinations go together. At least in a stock klipschorn configuration. I know there are a multitude of opinions on the "optimal" combinabtion. But looking for someplace to start with my DIY klipschorn project. Ive been scouring the forum and its hard to try to glean the answer from so much information and opinions. Thanks
  22. Theres my baby. 2001 Harley RoadKing Police. Looks a bit different now, you know how us harley guys cant leave our bikes looking too stock !!
  23. MBM135, Was looking at your setup and is similar to what Im running or actually wanting to run. I have a pair of original Fortes and am looking at the Scott and Rega Plant. Im currently using a new Denon 1803, but not happy with the musical quality, great for HT, but not 2 channel. How do you like the Scott, Rega, Forte setup ? Thanks
