  1. I am not asking if you have any spares of anything. I am asking what is in the HIPs that you are selling. Your signature does not list that. Thank you.
  2. Dampening the metal horns is definitely worthwhile, no matter the SPL you listen at.
  3. Well, I guess the fact that I own all of those mentioned, as well as La Scala IIs. Believe me, when properly restored, "the vintage stuff" will make the LS IIs sing. The Fisher and Scott prices have not surged nearly as much as the Marantz and Pioneer gear.
  4. Within your budget, I would highly recommend a Fisher 400/500C or a Scott 299 B/C/D variant. Restored of course.
  5. Yes, Forte II. Play around with placement in your room, it will be worth the effort.
  6. Michael Crites will provide great customer service, and you should be very pleased with the Sonicaps.
  7. I really don't think that this is appropriate within this thread, not to mention that these people are still fully capable of reading this forum.
  8. And of course you can always reach out to DaveA with a direct question as well, but again, the answer is yes you can.
  9. We are all different, and hear things differently in our rooms, with our music, with our sources, etc, etc, etc. If that's your opinion, then great!
  10. Apparently you have me confused with someone who........ Joined the sheep did you?
  11. The crossovers certainly need to be updated with new capacitors. Recommend you reach out to Michael Crites, or order new good quality capacitors and do the work yourself. Dayton Precision Audio capacitors, Sonicaps and Jantzen capacitors are all good choices.
  12. Not grumpy, just real. Leg humper? That’s a new one…..
  13. I have a bunch of 12AU7 pairs that are tested and matched. All are domestic production, mostly Sylvania, but a few others. All of them test excellent on my TV-7. These are really nice tubes, but I just have far too many...... Please PM me if interested. $25 per pair, shipped to your door.
  14. Not a problem at all. Have fun.
