  1. Richard, Just don't be like my neighbors and keep it in your front yard forever............
  2. Caroline and I flew up to Detroit last Wednesday and spent some time at glen and Vernas place. (Picky and wife) They were absolutly great host's. There house is so cool it is amazing what they did with the place. Inside and out it is spectacular. We didn't arrive until around 11 pm and they picked us up from the airport. Its a short ride to the house, and after arriving we sat in the livingroom and talked till I couldn't take it any longer and said I want to see the theatre. Once down there I was in awe, I have seen pictures but they don't do it justice. I will say that I thought from the pictures that it was alittle bigger that it really is. The layout was well thought out givin the size it still has everything you need. The 7.1 system sounds great, but I did expect it to sound great. haha We stayed down there till 5 am went to bed and was up around 10 I think. They took us on a sightseeing trip of the area that was cool and informative. Alot of Ford stuff and the funny names all the company employees have for the buildings. then we went and met his son, wife and grandson at a great mexican resturant. Oh Glen I want the Margarita resipe from there. then it was back to the house where we sat in the livingroom and I watched my first hockey game from start to finish which went into double overtime too bad the redwings lost it was a good game. Then it was back down to the theatre till 3am. The next day we headed off to the detroit museum and library which was fun, the library has a ton of LP's too. Then we headed off to Greek Town to meet a couple of Glen and Vernas friends for dinner. Dinner was great and then we all went back to the house and had a great time visiting and playing in the theatre. Again we were up till the wee hours. Saturday we had to say our goodbyes and he headed for home. Like I said Glen and Verna were great hosts and I can't wait to see them again. Come to find out they are into geniology and Glen has some long lost past relitives that lived in the county I live in in Virgina. So we are hoping they will head out to our place soon. Steve
  3. I've landed there Dee. And I don't mean sitting in the back either. I was at the controls on touchdown.......... Steve
  4. Hey Roy, That should be plenty of time to say come up with a 1700 page report, don't you think.....
  5. Last night it was a home brewed IPA. Brewed in March of 2008 kegged in April and tapped Feb 09 and boy is it good.
  6. I thought the sound was good, But I also have never liked "The Boss". I thought it was funny that all but 1 of the songs he sang I know from the 80's and remember I don't like him so if I have heard it its been over played on the radio. Has he done anything since the 80's? I thought he looked like he was really wore out about half way thru, I ts love cause you could hear his distress and tiredness in his voice. But the overall show and sound were good. Steve
  7. Our dog live inside with us. I also build a cathouse with heat that doubles as a table between our chairs on the front pourch. I didn't get an opossim in my but a hornets nets once, they got introduced to wasp/hornet spray. We saw a really neet doghouse the other day when we were looking a portable buildings. It had two rooms and a tilt up roof. They had them in several sizes.
  8. Most of the kids today do not get the excercize away from sports that we did when we were in school. I don't think they have the stamina that we did. I know whe had two a days in August in West Texas, worked our buts off and the coaches yelled screamed and cussed us out when we did wrong. I think we are growing a bunch of big couch potatos and expecting them to go for hours. I am not saying that the coach is not to blame, I just don't think its all his fault.
  9. It's hard to think those pictures are not photoshopped. I have seen pictures of it before, I will have to do a search and see if it is playing again and record it. Steve
  10. http://www.bluejeanscable.com/ here is another site for your reading and buying enjoyment. plaese don't waste your money.
  11. Thats a cool story Dave. Thanks for sharing.
  12. Looking good Glen. I smoked a chicken for dinner the other night and had the chimina going when Caroline got home. it was about 30. we had a couple of days it was 0 when we got up. If I was there I would help you get the snow off the grill just to say we fired her up.
  13. Dee, You didn't say what you use your smoker for and how often or how much you want to spend. I have a Klose pit http://www.bbqpits.com/ I have the 42" backyard smoker with 2 doors. Dave makes some really nice pits but they are not cheap, but they are built to last a lifetime. A friend of mine has had one for over 12 years and its still in good shape. That Smokey Mountain Smoker is not a bad inexpencive gas smoker. When it doesn't cost too much it doesn't hurt when it weres out. Steve
  14. They were very lucky to have CB in control of that plane that day. Too bad the vast majority of airline pilots do not have "the right stuff" so to speak. Steve
  15. Its only 10 deg F here right now, nothing near your -30 deg F but still cold. Lived in Maine in the late 90's and one year it never got above 0 for the entire month. When it warmed up to 30 it felt like a heat wave. Steve
  16. Marty, Please don't make BSM laugh, do you know how bad that hurts? Hope you get better soom BSM. Steve
