  1. 97.1 "The Drive" plays "one 45" at 1:45 every day...........but I don't know if it's actually vinyl.
  2. I've read good things......on the AudioKarma site.
  3. Would it make sense to swap them?

How are the Ultra's working out for you?
  5. Batman........What the heck did you do? Seems as if you got started off on the wrong foot. What gives?
  6. Just chase interns, it's alot less headaches and who could blame you for that ? And then you can tell us whether they are right or left handed. []
  7. I've noticed the same thing....why is that? Don't they have the same tweeter?

That's cool. With HT......I got to the point that I had no idea what the movie was about because I was constantly tweaking and dwelling in the sound effects.....especially the BASS. [Y] Glad you're diggin the Sub-12. When I had it I really enjoyed it, too. [] ........just wait til you get an SVS. []
  9. Good one. [Y]Still not as bad as the guy in Milwaukee that sprinkled his "pubes" all over a steak that got sent back to him. Needless to say, he got fired.
  10. What do you have the crossover set at on the sub itself? I think with KLF-30's you're looking at it being crossed over at about 60hz. If it is crossed over right.....and is phased right.....and is in the proper location you shouldn't even know there is a sub in the room. The sub is going to compliment everything the speaker already does with an emphasis on the deep lows. It will enhance the mid-bass but that's it. That may or may not be enough for you. A good sub should make your speakers sound as if they have more "body" to them. Remember, you're listening to the speakers not the sub. If the 30's still aren't kicking out enough mid-bass for you, you might want to check something like the JTR Growlers. http://www.jtrspeakers.com/growler.html
  11. I might take you up on that offer. I've talked to Dean twice in the past and still haven't gone through with the upgrade. I'll shoot you an e-mail.
  12. Glad to hear the 7's are working out for you. [Y]
  13. Now you're talking. [Y] Of all the subs I've had in the past.....my PB-12 Ultra/2 was the only one that was good to go as soon as I hooked it up. I mean no break in time. All of my other subs, especially my PB-12 Plus/2.......took at least 100 hours to soften up. Curious to hear your impression on the Ultra's. I love mine. It's got some serious drivers in it. I tune it to 16hz now and I'm blown away at what it can do.[] Congrats on your purchase.
  14. I may be having that exact problem with mine right now. []
  15. I cross my subs at 60hz with my RF-7's........sometimes 40hz for that real deep "air" that pressurizes the room. Generally, 55-60hz works best for music with the 7's. If they have a tendancy to get "boomy" that's a good thing...........that means you just need to turn down the gain. [] Pipe organ music? Can you give me some examples of what this music is like? Sounds like it would be cool to check out with my SVS's.
  16. You can buy "spray on" adhesive or "caulk" glue directly from Auralex to be delivered with your order. I used the spray adhesive.....very easy and effective. You can adhere them directly onto the wall if you want. I went to the hardware store and bought some pegboard (cheap), cut it to size, glued the foam to the pegboard and tacked it to the wall (kind of like hanging a picture). Very simple.
  17. .......I used to really like Metallica.....back in the day. [:^)]
  18. For $350.00.......I'd snag it. It should work good in a room that size.
  19. Another thing........when I blocked the ports and tuned the subs to 16hz......the way that the deep bass pressurizes the room is incredible, especially for movies. Don't make the same mistake I made at first. Turn the subs crossover all the way up or disable it if it has the option and use the receiver to set the crossover point. At first, I was setting the sub the same as the receiver and found out that was a no no. Doing so was restricting the output of the sub. After correcting this and tuning the subs to 16hz I've been amazed a what the SVS's are capable of. []
  20. I don't have the cylinder subs but I do have a PB-Ultra and a PB-Plus. For a long time I had them tuned to 25hz until recently I switched some equipment around. I've found that tuning them to 16hz allows them to play much cleaner. Crossing them over at 60hz with RF-7's has worked out very well.
  21. I'm using Auralex in addition to GIK Acoustic panels with very good results. Treating you room accordingly is the only way to go.
  22. I love my LF-10 but it is only practical in a small room (bedroom system) or maybe an apartment or condo. It sounds awesome but doesn't have a lot of output if you really want to rock out. If you listen at low to moderate levels this sub will not disappoint IMHO. How much for the LF-10?
  23. Nothing wrong with using tone controls if it gives you what you want.Go for it......be a rebel. [Y]
