  1. ^^^ LMAO . . . and some would consider me a "wide-load" LOL
  2. while I have a fair amount of LP's but the majority of my music is on cd. I agree that all the extra preparation required to play an LP demands a more critcal listen, and that can add to the pleasure. My challenge is that I often can't bother with LP's because most of my "listening" is done while I excercise . . . it's kind of hard to keep an LP from skipping and I don't want to dribble sweat all over my LP's when being interuped to flip or change the Album. Add to that the facts that plenty of music is way easier to find on CD, six mp3 CD's in the car changer eqauls many, many hrs of tunes and you'll know why my TT doesn't get much use :dunno
  3. I was ready to buy a pair of Synergy F-3 speakers but decided to purchase a pair of RB-35's with the goal of picking up a pair of RF-35's down the road . . . I agree that are differences in the sounds of Synergy and Referance speakers. To me, the Synergy F-3 towers would suit the needs of many folks just fine. In fact, I would rather own a pair of F-3's then a pair of RF-25's I have seen a few pair of Nice Klipsch Forte' sell on ebay for $500-$600 USD . . . I think they would make for some great 2 ch enjoyment
  4. do you have a link or ebay item number? I have never seen or heard them but would like to at least look and see what the seller has to say about them

    Sub Cable

My AVR has only one sub out . . . I ran one RadioShack Gold brand cable and a Y-splitter to feed my Sub . . . I think you could give me the best cable money could buy and I would never notice any differance, I rattle the crap out of my windows as is.
  6. I also have RB-35s . . . and my Sub fills in the bass nicely
  7. when comparing AVR power ratings, how much "High Current" is enough? Just because a manufacture claims "High Current" are there standards to look for?
  8. ^^^ or for lunch break at least, lol
  9. I have none better in my collection then U2 Go Home (Live @ Slane Castle)
  10. ??? sansui ??? I can't make it out heck, in 1973 even I was a small child, lol I do remember from that era when a frined of mine's older brother brought home a Quad speaker system of which he was very proud . . .
  11. not that it is exactly on topic but I took my daughter, one of her friends, a friend of mine and his child to the IRL race this past saturday night here in Richmond, VA . . . One heck of a show!!! probably the best part is the sheer value . . . The IRL knows who butters their bread and treat their fans accordingly. It only cost us $60 for ALL of us at the gate yet the show was great!

    Which Next?

Wolf, Siames are awefully smart cats . . . but I understand the relectance. back in the day when my two (male & female) where still with me I had no problem "training" them both as to what was their skratching post . . . they would ever make a huge deal of 'workin' the post when they wanted attention, positive re-inforcement and all
  13. Satelite Radio? FM Stinks around here (Richmond, VA)
  14. Four RSX-5s with RCX-4 center? maybe RB-10s with RC-25?

    Which Next?

go with the sub then get the RF-35 and move the RB-35s to surround . . . at least that's my plan (I already have the sub though) btw, the cat can be easily 'trained' to leave the RFs alone and you'll have a while to do it . . .
  16. ^^^ That's some great advice Dr.

  18. :dunno he "claims" he is an authorized dealer and I recieved the speakers in new factory packaging with all the related warranty registration documents that I filled out and sent in . . . I suppose I'll be finding out for sure if someone from the factory calls me to let me know that he isn't and that they will not honor their warranty . . . Has anyone ever had a warrantable problem with their RB-35s or RC-35? I know that I have ran my 10? year old Klipsch SW-12 since new with no problems at all (other then a couple windows that it broke when I first "CRANKED" it up. Heck, for that matter, I ran my old polks completely trouble free for years as well :dunno
  19. please send the offending RF-7s / RF5s post haste to my home in Richmond, VA for an emegancy audition. (send me an e-mail and I'll provide for pick-up...I'll even pay the freight) If upon my inspection, I find the speakers to be in anyway substandard, I will gladly step up and provide a token monetary remedy that you will then be able to apply towards new speakers of your choice while I take up the issue directly with Klipsch in your stead.
