  1. This is my personal experience. I owned original Heresys, Heresy IIs and Heresy IIIs all at the same time. Listened to them all a lot. I now have five original Heresys in my home theater. PWK got it right the first time.
  2. https://community.klipsch.com/index.php?/topic/206376-want-to-know-when-your-klipsch-speakers-were-made-click-here/
  3. A few models during that time period had slightly different power ratings. I highly doubt anyone who can still hear is putting 125+ watts into that generation of Reference speakers.
  4. You’re probably better off getting a different sub. Most sub amps have built-in EQ and other filters that are optimized for that specific woofer and cabinet. If you just add a separate amp it might sound ok, it might not. To me it wouldn’t be worth the gamble.
  5. Does your Denon allow for a Bluetooth connection for the main pair of speakers? I would suggest connecting the speakers to the L/R pre-amp outputs on the Denon and try that.
  6. I’m not offended, I just wanted you to know that you’re going to be waiting a long time if you’re hoping for a response.
  7. Umm…did you not see that this was posted in 2014? The OP hasn’t been back on the forum since then.
  8. Any reason why you chose to reply to a thread that is old enough to vote?
  9. If people think Heresys are big, you should show them this picture of a pair of Cornwalls;
  10. It’s veneer. Klipsch doesn’t provide veneers but lots of other companies do that you can order from.
  11. Look in the manual to learn how to do a factory reset and try that. If that doesn’t work, the only thing to possibly try is a new cable.
  12. I’ve had amazing results from using tung oil on fortes with an oil finish.
  13. Average price I’ve seen recently has been in the $3-3500 range for Belles in VG+ condition.
  14. They’re only “rare” because someone took Klipsch components and put them in a non-Klipsch cabinet so that’s why you haven’t found any like them. 🙂 The value would be in the parts as a combined total. I’d figure 100-150 for the tweeters, 150-200 for the midranges, 200-300 for the woofers and 100-150 for the networks. So, somewhere in the neighborhood of 550-800.
  15. For Atmos it isn’t suggested to have wide dispersion speakers like the 502s. Direct radiating like the RP-600 will work much better. If you’re adding both sides and rears you want them to be at the same height, just above ear level when seated. Don’t put any surrounds near the ceiling. The 5800-C is probably Klipsch’s most popular in-ceiling speaker for Atmos, great choice there.
  16. Did you not see the Garage Sale section directly above this one?
  17. I’m using AW-650s as Atmos with 5 Heresys as my bed layer and they work great. They may be outdone by by your setup, though. My receiver is a Sony STR-ZA2100ES. Sounds fantastic for both music and movies. Fyi, a 5.x channel setup uses side surrounds. 7.x adds rears.

    Car Thread

    What’s crazy is it seemed like it was electronically limited in its top speed on the end straight. Unless it only has a 7 speed transmission? {edit} I guess it does have a 7 speed transmission.
