  1. So you're saying you hooked them up, listened, evaluated, and posted pictures all in a half hour? Wow. How do they blend with the acoustimass?
  2. That's the model I want! Please let us know how you like them and remember to post pics. That will be quite the setup too. Congrats!
  3. They're the suppliers for SVSound (SVS subwoofers). This IS big news.
  4. For those of us with thin pocketbooks, Pictures. Please. [edited by: fanbrain at 12:04 AM (GMT -5) on Sun, Jun 04 2006] EDIT: Ok, something is going on with the server here. Every time I try to post I get "Unable to complete your request" or something and it looks like the post didn't take. Sorry for taking up all this space. I guess posting works even if it says it doesn't.
  5. Pictures . Please . I'm . dying . to . see . It
  6. DRBILL, I'm surprised to read "forget the subs". I went without a sub for a month or so, and only with an addition of one (a velodyne servo-controlled one I might add) did I realize how much information I was missing. Also, how do LaScala's do compared to the CW's and KHorns?
  7. Here's one. "What's the difference between a duck?" There is no punchline. That's the beauty of it.
  8. Sometime in the distant future, I want to compile a music only system, mostly to listen to organ music. I want to know what kind of setup I'm looking at. The frequency range of one particular organ I listen to ranges from 8200 cycles per second down to 13. Often the organ is accompanied by a 300+ member choir, and sometimes an orchestra. I know that's a lot of information to play through speakers of any sort, but I want to know what I should be looking for. The Heritage line seems to be the up to the task, but which model? SS or tubes? One sub or two? I thought I'd tap into the sea of knowledge this forum is. I don't have a house to put this in, so no room size can be given. Maybe that should be part of your recommendations. Again, I'm not looking to do this soon; it's more of a goal I'll be aiming for. Thanks in advance.
  9. I just visited the Klipsch homepage and saw that they had added most of the new subwoofers and specs to their page. Has this been posted on before? If not I thought I'd share. I think they're going to be freakin sweet. Link
  10. iTunes here. To me, nothing else compares with its simplicity and ease of use. Then again, I also use Macs, and that's what I'm used to.
  11. From the OP's recommendations, it sounds like the Velodyne SPL 1200R fits the bill because it's sealed (more "musical") it has a mic to eq the sub to the rooms response, it has a remote (useful) and you can get it in three different finishes (a real boon). Sounds like a winner to me, but take this with a grain of salt. Having never heard one, and having never heard your Forte/Academy HT. Come to think of it, I'm probably the least qualified person here to answer this question. Maybe you should get the SVS ultra. Heck, I don't know. I think I just dug myself a hole.
  12. The KSF C5 shows up on ebay fairly frequently. Just keep looking and you'll find one there. (Unless you wanna just buy the whole setup at once.) http://cgi.ebay.com/Klipsch-THX-Synergy-Speakers-KSF-10-5-KSF-S5-KSF-C5_W0QQitemZ9730275315QQcategoryZ61378QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
  13. "In addition as for that in order to translate Japanese and the back section for the second time from strange English." (English to Japanese and back to English) It's not as inspired as johnnyspeak, but it's all I've got.
  14. Nice place you have there (the website). It looks as if things have changed up a bit. I too have been trying to persuade friends that projectors are better and sometimes cheaper than plasma LCD tv systems. Not all rooms and situations would be proper for a projector system, but if you can swing it, I say do it. I can't wait until I can! PS- It's good to know there's another organist around here.
  15. They're gone now. Ended with buy it now.
  16. I'd hate to ship those things. I hope somebody hurries and snatches those beasts up! Pick them up for me and I'll give you $20 or something. STOP TEMPTING ME! We really don't have the room. It's too far away he won't ship. There. I'm ok now.
  17. I'd take them , but I'm 2000 miles away. Oh well. Maybe next time. Why are you changing to industrial La Scalas? I'm not too familiar with them. Good luck selling!
  18. The second link doesn't work. Is it just me? Anyway, yeah those are -huge- speaker cabinets. I'd be scared to sit down in front of them.
  19. HEY EVERYONE. OLDBUCKSTER HAS AN AVATAR!! Maybe I didn't notice it before, but I thought I'd stir up some excitement around here.
  20. Frzninvt, too bad I'm not in the position to buy some K'horns or something right now. I'd sure love some, but we live in an apartment and we don't have the room. Let's just move the rest of your equipment over to my place ,-)
  21. Why don't we have a raffle. Some of you can enter your "excess" klipsch equipment and raffle it to the less fortunate...

    New RT-12d

I use the exhale and hold trick when rifle shooting. Much easier and accurate than holding your breath. Back on topic- so theoretically if you did stack say an RT-10d and an RT-12d (or just have them next to each other) you would get nice tight bass up higher from the 10 and more of the subsonic bass from the 12? This sounds like an ideal setup. You wouldn't be counting on one 12" to take care of everything- it kind of reminds me of the Velodyne DD-1812. Room correction would be a boon. Forgive my naivete.
  23. Wow. Great setup. I like the dual Ultras in the corner. I wish I could come and hear it all. Congratulations.
