Where do these delusional people come up with there pricing.
-
He didn't they were custom ordered from the factory that way. They are not very common but make the La Scala look like a fat Cornwall.
-
Yep, my bet is KG4's finished in Oak Oil veneer built in 1988.
-
If I am not mistaken the transition from the AA to the AK in the Klipschorn was done to accomodate the K-55M which as you konw typically runs about 1.5db hotter than the K-55V. Let see what the experts have to say though. I have never seen the K-51V used in a Klipschorn but many in the Cornwall.

Well that did not take very long. I was going to keep and eye out for you but I guess I don't have to. -
SOLD Volti Audio K-Horn Upgrade Kit except for xover
Frzninvt replied to EmilC's topic in Garage Sale
Passed this onto my brother in law he will most likely want to purchase it. Stay tuned I will be in touch. -
An individual on here used to have three RC-7's across the front and was thrilled with it.
-
What are you asking for them?
-
Wrong direction. Reference speakers and KG line do not mix. The timbre' will not even be close. Do it right the first time you will thank yourself later.

The center of choice for KG4's should be a KG 2.2 or KG 2.5 the KV series was voiced to the Epic line CF-1, 2, 3 & 4. Obvisouly a third KG4 is the absolute best option, a KG3 as mentioned would also be a very good choice.

Up for sale my spare EV EVM-12L which is the equivalent to the early Klipsch K-42 used in HIP's. I have been holding onto it for years as a spare for my Heresy HIP's and have never had to use it. It was reconed by Electro Voice back in 2000 and has been sitting in a box in a climate controlled area ever since. Looking to get $125 for it plus shipping costs. Keep in mind shipping won't be cheap this bad boy is HEAVY! It will be at least 22 lbs or so. I have it listed on Craigslist and Facebook marketplace so it is first come first served.

I picked up an ElectroVoice 7300A Amplifier new in the box for $85. I am sure they have stuff leftover I will see what is there on Sunday monring when I pick up the amp. They had the Altec enclosures for $50 (all of them) if they have drivers in them it's a steal. I'll see if they have any new EV EVM-12's that they would sell out of the eight that were in the lot that I don't think sold.

Soldering and part placement have been provided to you by PlaySkool.

This is an Estate sale local to me. Not sure if they ship but I would be willing to assist at some level. Lots of Altec midrange drivers, some horn lenses. Some coaxial drivers. Also ElectroVoice speakers, some amplifiers and crossover networks. Make an offer time today! https://shop.estatesalesandconsignments.com/

I think I have a set of the plates that mount on the bottom that were on mine that I am not using. Not sure if they are factory or not.

I would not run anything but a Heritage speaker as a center. A compromise would be the Academy. A reference or legend series speaker will stick out like a sore thumb with left to right or right to left pans across the front stage. You center is the most important speaker that all the others are anchored too. I would use a Heresy IV, no less or preferably a third Cornwall I would not compromise. You will thank yourself later. There is no receiver or preamp software or computer algorithm that will correct or alter a speakers timbre. Not going to happen.

The Denon 2900 is a fantastic choice I owned one myself as well as the bigger 5900. That said my all time favorite CD Player for redbook and burned CD's has got to be the DBX DX5 since it has the ability to compress and expand using DAIR (Dynamic Audio Impact Recovery) and trim L +/- and R +/- using the Ambience. These tools are very useful for poorly recorded CD's as well as the newer way oversaturated ones they make these days. They can be had reasonably and have lots of nice usable features. I also use a Nakamichi OMS-7AII which is smooth as silk but lacks the abilities of the DX5.

English do you speak it? - Sammy -
A meter will not indicate if the tweeter diaphram is damaged only if it is reading "open" non-functional (no resistance). If the coil was damaged but the tweeter is still working although noisy the meter certainly will not have a different ohm reading to indicate that. If anything you should be able to just replace the damaged diaphrams to bring them back up to specification.

upgrading caps & resistors for RP-600m
Frzninvt replied to Willief23's topic in Technical/Restorations
I dont think changing capacitors in those relatively new speakers is going to prevent them from being shrill. The Outlaw amp is mid-fi at best and you did not say what you are running for a Source my bet is your issue is upstream and pushing a small speaker to hard. -
To my recollection the Jensen P15LL (K-33J) did not have doping on the surround.
