  1. Congrats Mark! I've met a couple of wonderful people delivering a pair of Heresies from Indiana to Florida that had been picked up in Chicago and delivered to me in Lafayette Indiana. Met very wonderful people James and Marshall on that trip and later bought a pair of rebuilt / restored Heresies from Marshall for a great price on another trip. Was going to get Chorus 2 but Christmas Holidays and a pair of Chorus 2 just wouldn't fit very easily in our Grand Caravan.... The Klipsch Express is a great way to get speakers moved and meet new people. Ben

    What I Got Today!

Happy Birthday Rick! May you be doubly blessed on your next trip around the sun.
  3. Just one CD from a Goodwill looking for a walker for hip surgery returning from surgery pro-op appointments. Also got a couple of books. One by Charles Kuralt and a Readers Digest How Things Work or something like that. I have a few things from 2 to 4 months ago I forgot to post.... may or may not get to it.. lol The boss has said NO MORE CDS! Hmmmm didn't say anything about LPs. But this one I had to have.
  4. I'll join in.... Sorry to hear that Ace. Have a round for everyone on me. Put it on Coytee's tab.... I'm sure he won't mind. Not sure he ever visits?
  5. Here's a more recent picture of Georgia street And news story.
  6. This section of Georgia street tas been rebuilt to create pedestrian space and was used for major outdoor space for the Super Bowl Village for Super Bowl 46 in Indianapolis. The plan is to use it for numerous festivals and outdoor gathering places for events and conventions I think in Indianapolis. The street was rebuilt to be used as a large outdoor pusblic gathering space. From Twitter they are installing 96. CA 800T and 24. CA-800TSW
  7. Indianapolis channel 8 WISH TV news at 10 on WNDY channel 23. Outdoor Klipsch speakers being installed on Georgia Street in downtown Indianapolis. Georgia Street was main outdoor space in the Super Bowl Village when Indy hosted the Super Bowl. I think they said they're installing 100 speakers and subs.
  8. Hofy's Duct Tape Mounting System adapted for #FlatKMC3 pool music.
  9. HeadRoom does sell the Audeze Travel Case for LCD-2 / LCD-3 which should work for any full sized headphones so may be a bit big. Claims to be military grade and flight approved. $75. Kind of pricey for $150 headphones but would be good from Mode M40 and other full sized 'phones.
  10. Headroom sells some nice headphone bags or pouches or used to. I've used the medium size pouch to keep my Grado SR60's in for years. It was made by Bagmaker of Boise Idaho which appears to have dissolved in 2005. They stey in the bag more since getting Klipsch Custom 2 and then Image X10. Can't find what I have. I think it was from Headroom. They have a very nice bag but it is discontinued. No mention of the pouch like I have. The Image One case is very nice, BUT, it needs a bit more room for the cable strain relief. I think myself and others noticed that the first time we saw and auditioned the Image Otherwise an excellent case. HeadRoom used to sell the HeadCase but it has been discontinued.
  11. I have to push and hold my standard 3 conductor Image X10 in my Samsung Galaxy S II and had couldn't get an headphone to RCA cable to work bbut the plug on it may be too vbig with the Body Glove protective case. The Galaxy's case is kind of rounded. Maybe if I flattened it a bit with a file. Thanks for the input.
  12. Not sure where in central Florida (I haven't read all the posts) but father in law lives in Venice near Sarasota.... but with daughter heading off to college and being between jobs it isn't going to happen right now.... Maybe when I get a new job though I'm sure my wife would make me get rid of my Heresies or Tannoy SRM 12B, or both. A fellow forum member lives in central Florida who may be able to pick up and store until I could get them.... now to find $900 and get it by the MOF. lol I'm suprised these are still available. 1994. Gee. Barely borken in.
  13. Headset =4 conductor stereo headphone with mic Headphone = 3 conductor stereo headphone Do normal headphones with no mic work correctly as headphones in headset jack for headphones with mic? My experience says no.. My Image X10 only play in Samsung Galaxy S II if pushed and held in. Do headsets with mic work correctly as headphones in a headphone jack? Would say Image X7i work as headphones in standard headphone jack. I still use c1999 mp3 player with standard 3 conductor headphone jack. Can the 4 conductor headset plug damge the 3 conductor headphone jack? I wouldn't think so but not sure how the jacks are normally builit. Thanks
  14. Somebody even offered up an undershirt one time. The rules are audio but related flies and a few other things sneak in.... To anybody disposing of CD's after ripping or copying to hard drive be sure you have a back up... hard drives crash. More frequently than they should. Our mp3 files may once again only exist on our mp3 players - but the drive they are on may be ok but just a bad enclosre or power supply. [8][8][8][H][8][8][8]
  15. Yes. Will i versions work as basic phone headset with Android phones? Being able to answer calls with button an added feature. Budget says no but I'd much rather have the much more refined Image X7 than Imasge S4 I also prefer the X7 sound over the X10 I have a stock pair of Image x10 (YEAH! They are awesome, as are my Custom 2 ... before your time here). But did not work well as an audio only headset when I tried to use for a teleconference with very limited output. I suspect that old stereo left, right, ground plug does not aliign with left, right, ground, mic (order?) of stereo headset with mic. I think stereo headset with mic should work fine with standard stereo jack. So is the X10 coming back? Maybe as the X10 II with flat cable? I thought it was discontinued? I wish I'd have gotten one of the $89 Amazon closeouts. What I really missed out on was the $129 Imae X5 close outs. Now if Professor Thump and cohorts in audio nirvana would just figure out the replacable cable so could have replace cable with i or a version. (sigh) I humbly offer up my services to test any headsets with my Samsung Galaxy S II or II S whatever it is. lol No more begging for beta testing...[:$]
  16. Congrats SBin. Those are stunning. [8][8][8][H][8][8][8]
  17. The selection of Klipsch Android headsets is limited to the Image S4a. If one wants a headset with better sound quality such as the Image X7 or Image X10 will the iPhone versions work as basic phone headsets on the Android phones?
  18. Hard Rock Cafe Indianapolis last night. Sure looked like a bunch of small Klipsch KI models all over the place. Didn't get really close or take a picture though. Maybe the KI-172?
  19. January 3rd trip to Indianapolis my auto-pilot stopped at a couple of Goodwill stores on the way home... Carmel Goodwill More Cowbell! Glendale Goodwill In Michael's (Colterphoto1) backyard. A Cathy Morris Christmas is the find of this batch. Burned a copy to take to Michael tomorrow if he's available as I'll be in Indy.
  20. Nice console! Tubes or Solid State? PM wins the best response prize. It's neither, full of nothing but air, and at least one drawer with a piece of drawer liner. Smooths out the resonances. The vise on this is relatively new. The seller said it goes for about $130 but he paid $90. Has provisions to hold pipe well. The wheels are also replacements and a softer urethane similar he said to what is used in the local GMCH plant where he works. He last used it to store tools working as an airplane mechanic. He plans to replace with a much taller narrower tool chest to better fit in the machine shop he's building in his garage. Milling machine(s) etc. He also repairs Porshces and Ferrari's on the side. Not many, but a few of each including his all wheel drive Porsche turbo. Planning to build a large machine shop with neighbor to house a 6 axis CNC capable of producing a V8 engine block from a billet of aluminum. He posted $200 OBO so I gave him a low ball $100 with disclaimer he should be able to get $200. Didn't want to give to neighbor for $175 but happy to sell for $200 even if I'd resell as I think with a bit of patience might be able to get more? The small box hangs off the main. I have some wheels I will probably attach to it and use separately. And have the keys for both. No brakes on the wheels but should be able to chock if nothing else. I think simple small brake on one or two of the decent sized wheels I have that can work. or maybe not. Solid State.... HLLY T Amp dwarfed by Nak CD changer. Could put in a tub amp I suppose but it is for the garage after all. Maybe a ruggedized CD player? Or mp3 player for background music would be more practical. Hang outdoor speakers off of the side. With portable CD player or mp3 player could be run by battery.
  21. Just making the link supplied by Fini into a link if y'all too lazy, like me, to cut and paste I've still not heard one of these in person. Maybe if I grab a favorite record and go to Klipsch Amy or Trey or Professor Thump will let me try it out.... Gregg - you'd love it even more if it also had your favorite Thorens ...
  22. My experience has been single vision starting in 7th grade, 4th or 5th really but did not wear regularly until 7th grade.., bi-focals starting about 40. I'm 51 now. My distance vision seems to have stabilized but not the upclose. Watching TV with any kind of recliner is a big PITA, especially since my neck is about as flexible as a 2x4 New up close prescription is much stronger as I avoided going to the eye doctor for a few years - maybe 4 or 5 - much better for reading as formerly just ditched the glasses a lot New glasses the speedo and gauges are blurry while driving without tilting head. Not a problem with old glasses Still getting used to new prescription after a few weeks Find a good optician - our local optician grinds the anti-glare lenses from Zeiss to fit the frames - much better fit and finish than former optometrist who sent all lens work to lab specified by insurance - they also chemically cleaned off the anti-glare coating and made old glasses into sun glasses for driving - help quite a bit even without anti-glare. They did this for free after I asked about prescription sun glasses for driving - they said this way I may not have to buy sun glasses and might find I want the progressive lenses for driving - nope - single vision are fine - I would like them darker though My glasses also have the extra dark transitions so darken in the sun - but does no good in the car as requires sun UVx rays blocked by car's glass I've yet to try lined bi-focals. I've always hated the look... but can understand that maybe it could work better for some people
  23. Congratulations to the buyer. I'm sure these subs will be enjoyed.
  24. Probably closer to 3 hours as I live west of Kokomo on the north side of town. That puts them about 7 hours from you. Food and gas costs? To feed me and our Grand Caravan. And money for 2 6 packs to take Brian and less you include that in your payment to Brian for the subs. I can't afford to loan an unknown Forum member or even known Forum member $700 right now. I can guestimate gas remaining gas costs on arrival to Louisville or just fill up before trip(s) and get actual costs within a few miles. Or could IRS mileage rates for Google or other map distances. Not looking to make money but can't afford to do too much for free at this time. I usually eat pretty cheaply while road trippin'. Not sure what you being a heavy eater has to do with my expenses? lol My hope is to leave weekday morning and pick up around lunch time for both legs of trip. Willy may be in line ahead of you but I still need to ensure these beasts will fit into Grand Caravan, with Stow and Go, beofre committing to anything. Kokomo does have a micro brewery if I'm to deliver the beer. No idea of the cost or if it's any good. I don't really care for beer.
