  1. With 4 garage spaces, I can only get Denise's vehicle in one, so I feel your pain.
  2. No, he's speechless, but uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, nice picture and welcome to the forum and what exactly are you doing?
  3. Solid advice regarding the power. I too have an Onkyo 805 and while it will run the 7's, there's a big difference in the bottom end when they're getting the power they want.
  4. We just went to see them last night in Cleveland and it was a great show. 13 horns, the entire band was great and Brian is a pretty solid player. Someone will be very happy with your generous offer.
  5. Just trying to keep it light so the divine as well as the simpletons that have posted keep looking at the shiny things and get back to fun and sound. 7 pages after you locked your own thread, priceless!
  6. Anytime my friend. Way to be insensitive Roger, couldn't you have said, follicly challenged, smooth one, lacking of hair, rain shedding dome of wisdom?
  7. You would think that he does this for a living! Always look terrific, and he is a moderator, so I wouldn't say anything different.
  8. This should be a great campfire discussion in Hope after a couple of drinks. It will be interesting to hear those opinions in person, instead of behind a screen and keyboard. Just had to delete my personal diatribe on the subject as I will save it for a latter date. I trust that all of you mentally challenged, as well as those that are mentally gifted, or so as proclaimed, will have a wonderful evening.
  9. No experience, suggestions, opinions.....................really, on this forum. That's a first! LOL
  10. My understanding of the rule is that the Nebraska receiver was ineligible once he went out of bounds, weather he was forced or not so it appeared to be a simple call that was missed.
  11. What's up with games being decided by crap officiating? That last Nebraska TD????????? I'm not a Michigan State guy but these aren't obscure, easily missed calls.
  12. You do have action on the 15, just not the action you're looking for. lol
  13. So don't you think you're getting too old to be playing with all this gear and building big subs? Just kidding, sounds like you had an enjoyable birthday. Hope you have many more!

    Are we alone?

If we are, it's a very sad state of affairs and there can continue to be wars and insanity over the debate as to how and why we are here and who's book of stories is correct and should govern the rest of us. I would love to see concrete proof of the existence of other life spread far and wide throughout the universe (happens to be what I believe), just to stop all the BS going on and make people accountable for their actions, decisions and declarations that are based on the premise that we're not. Creativity and conscience allow all of us to fill in the vast amount of questions that we all have with conjecture, tradition, "common knowledge", speculation and a host of other unhealthy things that constrict all of us to a defined amount of free thought and I'm quite certain "within my own boundaries of thought" that the answers are still in the questions that we haven't even considered. Didn't mean to rant, I just find it truly discouraging that as a planet and a species, we are fighting and killing over the same made up issues and arguments that have existed since history has been recorded. The average person can't deal with the fact that they will die not knowing the answers to 99% of the questions they have and instead throw a blanket over the entire thing to make themselves feel better. We are at best, a molecule in the vast expanse, and that scares the crap out of most people. Just my thoughts, I could be, and am most certainly wrong on many accounts. I hope the other life forms that may or may not exist, have great music and sound reproduction equipment. So who's the resident alien sleeper? Speak up, you little green, gray, reptilian bastterd so we can all know the truth. Where do we, our planet, solar system and universe come from, what is the beginning, what are the boundaries and where is the end..................wish I knew the answer to one of these, but I don't think anyone on this forum will know any of them before we pass. We all participate in this forum for the same underlying reasons that we respond to this post, we have questions and are seeking answers, yet there is not one among us that has reached the audio nirvana and has recoiled from this or other forums, having gained all the knowledge and answers, it's all based on perception. I'm just looking for a new pre-pro for my shop and look where it's gotten me. I trust that those of you who have read this post, have had some deep thoughts, will provide some answers, or just had a great laugh, as I have. Now, back to the real world.
  15. it's all about playing and listening when you have the time and when you add or subtract from the room you will alter the sound. I added a soffit over the entertainment area and it affected the bass out of the 7's a ton and required me to play with all the placement and settings again.
  16. What he said. Don't get hung up on perfect placement of surrounds because in the end, your room isn't perfect and nor is anything else. There are certain rabbit holes that you don't want to go down and this is one of them. Mount them where you need to and then work with the settings with that location to get the best set up you can. My RS7's aren't mounted at the same height because my woman (hope she doesn't read this, she's mean jfk)had to hang a piece of art and you just go with it and you know what..................still sounds great with a simple calibration. It's all good.
  17. Why do you want to cover up all that pretty copper anyway? I have all of the original grills that are in perfect condition for the RF's I have, including the 7's, but in the box is where they will stay, it's like telling Kate Upton to put her shirt back on. LOL
  18. I hope you get rid of them if that's really what you need to do, but I have to say, it's never going to get cheaper to replace the gear and the sound that you can have down the road. I'm not saying that I hope you don't sell them, just that I'm sure at some point you will regret it if you do. Good luck either way, but my purchase of my RF7's 6 or 7 years ago was a pleasurable dive into the abyss and unless you don't have time to actually listen to them, the kids can be trained. Good luck and welcome to the forum.
  19. I just watched this for the 4th time and I've got to say, that was a truly phenomenal performance last night. If you haven't seen it, and regardless of the type of music you listen to, check this out. Would have loved to seen this live.
  20. I never listen to music with headphones, heck, I don't even own a pair, but I'm running into way too many situations where Denise is making business calls at night or on a web conference and I have the TV on and it's just annoying to both of us. (Open concept living isn't great for all situations) I'm wanting to get a decent ($150-$250)set of wireless headphones that will solve this problem and I have zero experience with headphones. Best sound and function for the $$ is the motivation. Any help would be appreciated.
