  1. he's gotta be the funniest guy on this forum , the last guy that was a bit like him was @Duke Spinner
  2. quite original , these are unique -
  3. The woofer on the 79 is different ---it's the K33E - much bigger dust cap , my 79 Cornwalls do not have risers either , they were optional back then- -------and the copper badges are different ------78 copper badges have the laser logo , the 79 is the etched copper badges -------
  4. what the hell were you doing buck naked out in the desert -
  5. by the way the woofers -------seem to be the k33E -, if you take of the rear covers , you would see the Markings K33E on the square magnets , you woofers have a different shade around the area above the dust cap and it is a slightly different color that the picture here which is another picture of a 1976 Cornwall 1 ------------------------------------------------------ 2nd difference between the 1976 and your 1978 Cornwall is the bottom motorboard vents - the 76 has 2 large vents , the 78 has 3 smaller vents and this remains the way CW 's are made to this day ------- -------------------------------------------------- 3rd observation , your speakers do not have risers , this was optional , you can buy risers and add them to protect the bottoms of the speakers -
  6. there was no factory specs sheet back them , but when you bought a pair of these speakers , they would give you a flyer , I own a pair of Cornwalls , although they could be 1979 CW 1 , so , I have the flyer somewhere along with original sales receipt - The only different was the was the woofer and the klipsch badges
  7. well good luck , on that one ------
  8. these Cornwalls appear to be made in 1978 , the Crossover should be the B network , K33E woofer square Magnet --- k55V Alnico midrange , K600 aluminium horn --- k77 round magnet Alnico - grilles should have the Klipsch laser copper badges -
  9. dont forget that there are tons of amplifiers out there than can do the job ----and you could even use the cheapest Hypex amps ---I use the new high end Crown amps and I am quite impressed
  10. easy answer , any HERESY 1-2-3-4 , all would be perfect -
  11. This is a klipsch Cornwall Decorator without any grilles ,300$ sounds fair , overall condition looks very good ----the woofer can be reconed very easily under 100$ -
  12. you must audition the 2 types of speakers and make up your own mind as to what you prefer - the important part , is to avoid dented , or damaged speakers cones in all klipsch speakers -and the surrounds must be immaculate , the entire speaker must be well taken care off , the sound must be clear , with no perceived vibrations of rattles ------the grilles must be intact and overall , if they are not , stay away - always pay a premium for a speaker that is in top shape , and in the contrary , chop off the price if the speaker is not in mint condition , if the seller has not taken care of his gear , it is better off to pass , and always insist on auditioning the speakers before buying -
  13. yes , I was wondering where Grasshopper was , normally , he checked in for breakfast ---coffee - no news ?
  14. they need rain , lots of rain --------
  15. He was also speaking about a special Woman , maybe they have eloped away somewhere more private
  16. well @Chad is back and he can help
  17. WOW ---beautiful sound neutral rack , and sturdy ---your comments on the VTL BL 304 , are echoed -

    RIP Mac Davis

RIP - what a fabulous song writer and singer -
  19. this VTI BL rack rides on spikes - you dont wanna hit it by accident , everything comes tumbling down -----this is not very sturdy for 3k$ amps and expensive DAC's -----nope , not my cup of tea------ I would search for this type of Dovetail rack , these are quite expensive , but you can make a similar rack using 1 inch Baltic birch plywood for about 200$ in wood and cut on a CNC , then bonded in a wood shop --about 400$ in total ---
