  1. KP 301 speakers produce a lot more bass than a Cornwall 1 or 2 , they are real Chest pounders -
  2. and hurry up , before they damage permanently your tweeters and midrange diaphragms or woofers --old caps are the worst thing for the voice coils of the woofer-mids-tweeter -

    Corona has vanished!

on August 27th , USA deaths were 180 000, on September 2nd , it's closer to 190 000 deaths in 6 days -we are sending our kids back to school and our own kids are magnets to viruses of all kind -the teaching staff will be on the front lines https://www.usnews.com/news/health-news/articles/2020-04-01/us-coronavirus-death-toll-tops-4-000-as-cases-near-190-000
  4. good news , all is well underway -
  5. you can also buy used Chorus 1 or Chorus 2 crossovers , a KP 301 , is basically an Industrial Chorus that can handle more power
  6. very similar -------The EP is made by Eminence , the K is made by Klipsch using the same tooling ------
  7. both the KP 3.0B and the KP 3.6A are hard to find on the used side , either crossover should work fine , as long as the bad capacitors are replaced , however the KP 3.06A is a more recent crossover as it came out later by a few years , so a newer concept -
  8. -look at the large rmids horn opening in this cab , this is the kp 301 II ,
  9. These speakers are the KP 301II , these speakers are the kp 301--------
  10. the Chorus II sale on Ebay had 17 bids --------winner take all
  11. then the answer is simple , you have a pair of 2 different speakers 1) KP 301 which uses the 3,0B , and the second speaker a KP 301 II that uses the KP 3.6A - or someone swapped the wrong crossover into 1 of the speakers , if both look identical -
  12. some like the AL , some dont ---------very hard to say , I dont fitnd them to be that bad , regular Dayton caps do the job for me
  13. ABSOLUTELY STUNNING did you build these from a kit you purchased from Dave
  14. it depends whether you have a KP 301 or a KP 301 II , the KP 301 uses the KP3.0B ---------here is what they should look like ----the KP 301II uses the KP 3.6A XO - -first thing to do , is remove the 2 woofers - 2 mids--2 tweeters and verify which crossovers you have inside the speakers , and verify if both mids drivers or horns are the same and finally are the tweeters identical - -there has been aftermarket and original diaphragms for both the mids and tweeters in both phenolic and titanium ---you would have to open each driver to see what is installed in the drivers - are they original klipsch ------are they aftermarket , are they phenolic-are they titanium -or are they all a mix of various types -
  15. we've had 60 degrees or lower last week in Northern NY/Quebec , rained like a deluge , and even the geese are getting ready to head South , the winter will hit us very early this year -no doubt about it -
  16. gone ------sold -someone got a great deal
  17. Great answer ------happy to hear that -
  18. I use Heresy 1 Speakers laying on their sides , on top of Cornwalls and La Scala's as they bring out a greater definition in the vocals and HF -
  19. -----on the other hand , older klipsch speakera are definitely not junk , spare parts are readily available , and newer series speakers are 4-5 times the price , and the lean years are over, at least for the Heritage klipsch series lineup -
