Buy a cheap home use DVD recorder, I think mine is Toshiba brand. Use your VHS player as the source into the DVD recorder. Then use the DVD recorder out to your TV. Most DVD recorders have an very easy to operate RECORD button that you can basically use to stop and start the recording. Start your VHS and get it to where you want it on the tape, press play on the vhs player, and record on the DVD recorder. Low tech and manual but it'll work just fine. The TV is really only used to make sure you know where you're at in the recording and that it's going ok. But you could also watch it while you are duplicating, if you wanted. But remember not to pause the movie unintentionally because the DVD recorder doesn't stop when you stop/pause the VHS player.

I believe you are mistaken Budman. As far as I know there is no such rule and if there is please show where these rules can be found. I can see especially in a case like this where the OP might want to take offers since determining the value of something like this isn't easy? IMO if someone doesn't like making offers then I suggest they ignore the listing. miketn I believe that most here would disagree with this assessment. It is in fact customary and also deemed a respectful move to start any -for sale- with an asking price. To say "ignore the listing" if in disagreement kinda goes against common logic, where one speaks up when they feel a wrong is occurring. It also sets terrible precedent. My free two cents.

They are in Rhode Island currently and I'd like to sell this as one system (I can palletize and freight anywhere in the country for around $200.00, it all fits on one skid.) I really don't know what these are worth but in my heart I'd like to get $3,000.00 for the whole system as is (feel free to tell me if I'm out of my mind and make an offer). Your price of $3000 is reasonable and fair. The $200 total shipping cost seems very fair too. You could pay $70-100 per RF-7, RSW-15 easily.

Noticing the distance between you two I'd strongly advise against shipping an RSW-15, even in it's original box. Unless it is palletized. These buggers are heavy and delivery drivers aren't nice to things that make their lives harder.

Dents on the dust caps indicates possible other damage. There appears to be a matching center channel in the pic as well, on that back shelf behind the top right speaker grill. Looks like an rc3.

Welcome to the forum! I wouldn't ever do that, unless I had the parts already on hand and was simply looking for a project. Reason: Any monies put into that would be better spent put towards the purchase of a more capable center.

Just to reiterate, in my personal situation with the RF-7's & Onkyo 3008, I don't do ANY two channel listening. I ran the Audyssey XT-32 through its paces, set it at ALL CHANNEL STEREO, and left it there. I tend to dabble between a couple different Dolby settings only when using it to watch TV, or the occasional movie that was clearly mastered to be played back in 5.1 & 7.1 recordings.

Yes, I am part of that discussion as well, regarding the Onkyo and 7's. Mine is really only apparent in extreme usage conditions, I.e: high volume and long period of time. I may have an opportunity to purchase a very high end amp (the Krell) at a great price. The idea of bi-amping has always intrigued me and the info I've read on this brand points itself towards a warmer sound. Which has now been described by Skibum as neutral. For the price I can afford to take a shot at reducing the high pitch fatigue and still be able to resell without loss if it doesn't work. I'm not opposed to doing the resistor mod at all. I don't have any experience with this but it doesn't really intimidate me. Also, who doesn't like tinkering, lol.

Has anyone here had any experience with Krell amps in their HT? I say HT because I'm currently only looking at multi channel amps. I don't really do any 2-Channel listening. More specifically I am considering a Krell amp to use to Bi-Wire along side an Emotiva. Krell for the highs, Emotiva for the lows. The Emotiva has never lacked the punch that I'm looking for to run highs AND lows, however, I'd like to experiment with softening the highs by utilizing another brand amp. I've read these are very warm. I could pull the trigger on this tomorrow or never, I'm really just looking for some feedback on whether or not anyone has enough experience with this brand to agree with the warmth assessment. Or, with overall quality in general.
