That is the product id and not the product key. And it is true that you don't need it to use the restore disks. In fact, using the restore disks may put in a different product key. Dell's restore disks will work on any of the Dell PCs. A friend of mine gave me a 2 Ghz Dell, but it had no hard drive or disks with it. I mounted the motherboard in a full size chassis/case, and used a restore disk from a PC at work (we have an MS license agreement for the whole campus and don't use the software as delivered). It installed just fine.

Ki, From the sound of this, you haven't been on here for a while. THere are a whole lot of folks on here who have purchased the commercial Jubilee bass bin, and added the K402 horn with either the Klipsch k69/P.Audio BMD750 or a TAD driver for a two way system. Some are using the K510 horn on top ( smaller and perhaps more WAF) Some have gone with the Klipsch MWM bass and the K402 horn... Two way is possible for sure. Bruce

I've been thinking of doing that on the crossovers I built for my LS. It's a great idea.

Dennis gave me sizes for a slot port some time ago. I had been wondering about the idea of a built from scratch LS, with the top section enclosed, and a slot at the apex or point of the doghouse.That way it wouldbe height of regular LS, but port to the front. I have a whole warehouse of of ideas, which is probably better than everything built and nowhere to put them. [*-)] Bruce

The LS bass cab design is what Bert used to sell with his horns. Looking at the gallery on his website is always fun. He has an Oris made for a 2 inch. compression driver, too. I wish it didn't cost so much to get them over here (or there, I guess, too).Bruce

Fabricated from scratch...not just a mod.Bruce, The ported section is open into the doghouse. According to djk, this can give you almost flat to 30hz. With a standard LS, you can open up the TOP of the doghouse, and enclose the back (where the crossovers reside) and put ports out the back. Same volume increase. Or you can remove the bottom cover, and stack teh LS onto a ported box to accomplish the same thing.

The JBL and BMS are both titanium.

You could haul them outside, but that is a lot of work and can really annoy the neighbors. []Thanks for all the info, Al. Bruce

Max, that's pretty much how I would describe it. too. Toed out gives me more freedom of movement, and this works well for good orchestral recordings. I don't move mine any, and have settled on a reasonable compromise.Good to see you on here too. Hope all is well with the family. Bruce

Regarding audio, mine probably covers a couple feet left and right. I have my LS aimed to converge slightly behind me, which works ok for me.

That would be correct. You would just ignore the power amp in the integrated. You shouldn't need a load placed on the integrated's outputs, it no signal is being fed to it. However, you should check the manual that comes with any piece of gear to see what the manufacturer says.

Holistic Audio!PT, I'm not sure yet what I will aim for. I am pretty sure I can get the EV up high enough to not stress the K69's bottom range. And please, certainly no need to crawl back to your cave. I barely know what I am talking about. It's just that the price was right for these, so I couldn't pass them up.
