  1. And it is a great journey you are sharing with all of us. These are the types of projects that make me and others coming back to the Forum. Keep up the good work....
  2. Cal, my thoughts and prayers are with you.
  3. The H.H. Scott 299a has arrived safely. Kevmosmith has been a great person to deal with.

    I Love Ketchup

Malt vinegar and salt on fries and mustard on the dog. Ketchup is too sweet.
  5. With the efficiency of the Chorus II you will drive yourself out of the room before the speakers consume the 200 watts output of the amp or damage a driver. One thing you may want to consider is replacing K-79-K tweeter. It is a polymer dome tweeter and it sounds OK, but IMHO the Bob Crites titanium replacement improves the sound.
  6. I will soon have a NOSValves rebuilt Scott 299a to compare to a Scott Thompson rebuilt Sansui AU 719 which I have been listening to with Belles (homebuilt ALK Universals) and Forte II (kit built ALK networks with BC Ti tweets). I will let you know what I think. That is from the point of view of an old eared Klipschaholic not an audiophile.
  7. Now you guys are making me hungry. I'll let you know how much I enjoy the Belles with Valves after I have the proper time to digest the music on the menu.
  8. Sweet, something worth watching. Thanks.
  9. Interesting a little fuzz caused so much buzz. Could not resist that. Glad everything is sounds sweet again.
  10. Craig - Thanks for the offer. When I get the amp I'll send you the serial number. I would like to understand what your Deluxe rebuild on this amp consisted of.
  11. John, If your forte grill will fit the forte II cabinet the tabs could be cut back and the magnets installed. I see not issue other than no going back on the forte cabinet without removing the rubber holders and installing magnets there also. Watch the polarity of the magnet pairs make sure they are correct. Been around enough, I make my own box.
  12. Thanks guys. Looking forward to listening my Belles with tubes. I have been running SS for years and thought I would give tubes a try.
  13. I have both types and they are not interchangeable. The Forte have plastic tabs which snap into a rubber holder drilled into the motorboard. The Forte II are magnetic.
  14. Welcome to the forum. I like the Chilean wine box you have the C7 on. Good luck with your sale.
  15. Youthman, once you improve the networks in the RF7ii's you can't stop a just one. You will want to hear the improvement in all of your system networks. Its an addiction. One we all participate in. Thanks to you and DeanG for the experience.
  16. Now that's one beautiful set-up. Congrats and enjoy.
