  1. I picked up mu LaScalas for $500 for the pair... I recently saw a pair that were in very nice shape for $900 and I have seen some shabby ones up for $1200 a pair. All these were local to me too. So as you can see the pricing is all over the charts.
  2. I'll call your bid and double it... $4.00.
  3. If we mourned every one that had a loss, we would never stop mourning.
  4. Yeah his business partner was driving... It sounds like it was in the parking lot too, as they said people from his shop came running out with fire extinguishers to try and put the fire out.
  5. I have noticed them going up one week and then a week or 2 later seeing super low prices while some are consistently still trying to sell at the inflated prices. The bargains are still out there IMO.
  6. I use this sub with my 3 front LaScalas and it is awesome IMO! http://www.powersoundaudio.com/collections/prism
  7. Wow... I never even heard of those. It would be just about like getting a 2 piece La Scala and putting the bass bin on its side and the horns on top.
  8. http://www.amazon.com/Bond-50-Complete-Collection-Skyfall/dp/B00EK6RM92/ref=sr_1_2?s=movies-tv&ie=UTF8&qid=1385871688&sr=1-2&keywords=bond50 $99 for the Bond 50 bluray collection... Normally $299!
  9. I have my Triax setup now (calibrated with my Denon 4520ci)... It ROCKS the HOUSE! It is the best HT sub I have ever had the chance to hear. When I have heard other subs they usually had what I call one note bass. This sub goes deep and loud and works very well with my La Scalas IMO.
  10. My wife and I just watched "Red 2", and "R,I.P.D."... We thought both movies were pretty good.
  11. Wow, I never knew that about Canare. I have a 30' run of Canare for my sub that I had a friend make for me.
  12. Good catch... I didn't see that.
  13. I wish I had the $$$ I would jump on them!
  14. How about a PSA Triax? It keeps up with my La Scalas.

  16. Thank you for explaining it to me.
  17. Where does it show someones reputation?

    PSA Triax

Last night my wife was watching a movie with me and she was laying on the couch... She fell asleep with her head about 1' from the Triax! I was 2 chairs away in the LP and I was getting massaged by the bass! This was with the 4520 @ -20 or -25 (can't remember which), and the Triax boosted from -8 to 0 on the sub. We were hitting in the 90db+ range on peaks. I just cranked it up on the new Star Trek movies to 0 and one of our dogs left the room pretty fast! It was @$#%^ LOUD!
  19. I tend to disagree. You can get a receiver with HD Audio Decoding, HDMI, and a lot of other features for much less than you can buy a good pre/pro with same features. If you buy used, you'll get even more bang for your buck, even if it does include amplification that you do not use. Ditto! Using an AVR as a prepro for some channel is a cost effective way to get the best of both world. Yup! The only thing I wish is that you could totally disable the power amp in a receiver to draw zero electricity.
  20. This is what I found... http://www.audioasylum.com/audio/speakers/messages/27/275518.html Is that what yours look like?

    PSA Triax

Did you get a 1099 form after winning the sub? No... Will I be getting one? I hope not but was just curious. I won a trip to Daytona Beach from MTV a few years back and got one unexpectedly. Probably varies from state to state and by promotion.... Helluva nice win for you....Enjoy! Was it for Federal Tax too? The manufacturer is in Ohio and I am in California... I am hoping I don't get a 1099 for sure. I am not going to ask that is for sure.

    PSA Triax

It was pouring down with rain when it arrived... We unpacked it on our front porch and then dragged it into the house on the cardboard and foam. It is not as big as I was thinking but it is very heavy! It is all I can do to move it a inch or two by myself. The rubber feet are planted to the floor very well.

Yeah it is the first time I have won something that was worth more than $20.
