KLIPSCH MODEL H S/N#'S 6A31 & 6A29
Panacea Engineering replied to RICH HOOPER's topic in Klipsch Pro Audio
Rich, You will need to post more pictures. They are the 529th and 531st H models and were built between 60 and 63. They are Walnut and Oiled (WO) The value is totally dependent on what someone is willing to pay and the shape that they are in. Not having the original Mid Horns and Tweeters will decrease their value considerably. The drivers that are in there may nort be the originasls. Also, the crossover will give more information about these particular speakers, if they exist. Basically, you have a set of 52 year old cabinets. The rear stickers appear to be in pristine condition and if the rest of the cabinet is in that same shape, there may be some value there. The serial sticker is interesting to say the least. More pictures will help determine what you have and some inside shots of the woofers would help. -
JM, I hope that your event goes well. It is nice to know there are a few other RC'ers on here. I am one of the organizers of the Joe Nall (www.joenall.com) and we just finished our 30th Anniversy event. If there is anything that I could help you with, please let me know. Most of all, I hope the weather is good for you guys and you have a safe show. W. C.

Is that the hinge assembly on the rear of the glass top deck? If it is it must be massively damped to sup[port the weight. More pictures would be great and you did a fantastic job.....!

LaScala re-build suggestions needed
Panacea Engineering replied to mustang guy's topic in Technical/Restorations
Max is right...The seller has parted out this set. He has all of the components listed. The serials are not consecutive, but what they hey...? It hurts to see Klipsch speakers parted out, Guess some people are in it just to turn a buck...... -
Dave, Really great video.....! One comment - The font that you used makes for a really tough read in the ending credits. Perhaps if you slow the roll rate or change to a different font. Loved Chello work of Ma.

KP301's - One speaker not working.
Panacea Engineering replied to HOGFAN's topic in Klipsch Pro Audio
Hog, A wire could have come loose in shipping....open them up and have a look. -
I am running Dave's Eliptrac 400 with Beyma ND 750's (2") on two sets, two way passive. This combination provides superior qualty sound and is one of the best horns out there, IMO. It rivals a Martinelli set up with the same drivers. These are used with jubes and K Horns. W. C.

Brac, Be careful....It will become a pet and you wont have the heart to butcher it, espicially if you have kids......BTDT.........!

Dave, Please pass along my wishes and hopes to Ron and his family for a COMPLETE recovery. This will be a long and expensive road to travel. He is fighting a very tough battle and will need all of our support. Something like this can be devastating financially; are their any plans to set up something, where we can donate to Ron's cause. Not knowing him personaly, this is probably the only way that I can offer true support and help. Maybe Amy could set up a donation thread for Ron, as she has done in the past. W. C.

When a speaker loads the room, what is it doing?
Panacea Engineering replied to Wrinkles's topic in General Klipsch Info
Want to "Load a Room"....? Sit in a bathroom stall and hum until the particions start to viberate. You have reached the Reasonant Frequency......Very same reason that you sound SOOOOO good, singing in the shower stall.......[] -
Art, My Jubes are 39.5 inches tall. We are running Beyma CP 750 ND's on Martinelli Horns and Dave's Eliptrac Horns, two way passive. I can honestly say that these are the finest sound reproducing speakers I have ever heard and I have heard a few....! W. C.

Greg, Just curious...What was THE mystery?
-
The power cord was cut "Probably" because someone let the SMOKE out of the Sub. It will require opening the Sub up and careful testing of the circuit boards. It could be as simple as a blown fuse or some capacitors/resistors that are fried. If there is a local technician or Forum member, it would be worth a look. If it is just the cord that needs replacement, it is an inexpensive fix. If a board is fried, that is another story, altogether.

You can upload pictures one a time (one per post) by using the options tab above the Reply (Message) window. Hit options, add/update (you will get the Upload File window, hit browse, select your file on your computer then slide to the right and hit save. The next screen will prompt you to post. You can either post from there or go to the top and chose compose and it will bring you back to the Reply screen. The file size limit for pictures is 250KB so you will probably have to edit them down if you use a high pixel rate camera. Windows Paint will let you resize them. -
Tom, There is no "Secret" to veneering inside the Bass cabinet. if you take your time and cut paper or cardboard templates, it makes sizing the Veneer a breeze. You just have to keep "Trial Fitting" until you get a perfect fit. While it may look very difficult, if you produce accurate templates, it makes it very easy to do. Due to minor construction differences, you can not use the templates between different cabinets, as each one is just a little bit different. When cutting the Veneer, a aixreenth of an inch difference, can ruin a piece of Veneer. W. C.

Daves Eliptrac 400 in Jube Clones...Pics!
Panacea Engineering replied to jorjen's topic in Technical/Restorations
Craig, I am using the Beyma NS 750 2" ,on Dave's Eliptrac 400's and it is supberb, in a two way passive congiguration. The Volti VTrac Horn setup uses the BMS 4592ND-MID in three way, I believe. I am sure that Greg will chime in as I surely do not want to put out any false information. I think his setup has received some very positive reviews. -
