1. Up for sale is a really nice vintage receiver from the late 70's/early 80's, It is rated at 100 watts per channel and features a spacial restoration/reverberation circuit. The unit was tested and works great. This includes all inputs. Cosmetically it is in very good condition as well. The remote in the photo does not go with the receiver. It is for a CD player. 2. Up for sale is a mint pair of B&W Bookshelf Speakers. I don't see a blemish anywhere. I purchased these from the original owner along with a pair of really nice stands. I suspect the stands were over $200 new. If you look closely, the previous owner also purchased tweeter grills directly from B&W for extra protection. I will add photos shortly. The ones I previously took are a little fuzzy.
3. Nice stripers! My family has a place at Lake Texoma and we spend a fair amount of time fishing for stripers.
4. I miss Radio Shack too! However, the stores have been a Radio Shack lite for 15-20 years now. I guess they tried to change and appeal to a broader customer base, but it still didn't work. I'm fortunate that there are a few electronic parts stores in DFW.
5. Those are a steal for someone in Chicago!
6. I sell a little on Audiogon from time to time. The last purchase I made was a year ago when I purchased a pair of surrounds that were actually a local pick up. I don't think Audiogon has the traffic that it once did and i find that most listings are overpriced. If you are selling anything under $100, the fees are fairly steep. I rarely have a bad experience, but I do get a lot of ridiculous low-ball offers from time to time. I do miss the Audiogon from 15+ years ago when it was free to list. I would scroll for days back then, however, I did have a couple of less than stellar experiences back then.
7. I have an inexpensive pair of Sanus speaker stands I could sell you. I believe they are around 30" tall.
8. The Pinnacle SUBcompact 8 subwoofer is a good fit for small spaces, designed to function in rooms smaller than 500 square feet. Delivering deep, tight bass response down to 27 Hz, with a variable crossover of 50-150 Hz, this Pinnacle subwoofer yields high performance and adds style to a home entertainment setup. The front-firing design of the compact subwoofer allows for placement in built-in wall units or other custom configurations. The cubical Pinnacle SUBcompact 8 is only slightly larger than a basketball but crafted to deliver powerful sound. With 300-watt maximum power handling, coupled with the 8-inch heavyweight fiber cone woofer equipped with a 2-inch voice coil, this compact subwoofer brings cinema-quality sound to even tiny spaces. This Pinnacle subwoofer is packed with features such as an anti-clipping circuit, automatic on/off circuit with LED indicator, volume control, and more. Also included with the Pinnacle subwoofer is a high-quality gold-plated interconnect cable for ease of installation and high performance. The sub is in excellent working order. It does have some scuffs and scratches that can be seen in the photos, however, they are not nearly as noticeable in normal lighting. The flash on the camera over emphasis the scratches.
9. Up for sale is an Adcom pre-amp and amplifier. They were purchased from the original owner and are in excellent condition. Both pieces come with their original packaging. The pre-amp is in excellent condition, but there are a couple of scratches on the cage, one of which was touched up. The amp is in mint condition. I'm asking $200 each, but would prefer to sell them as a pair.
10. I know there are. I've read them. I just hate that I can't fully enjoy some of the newer music.
11. I like some new music, but the dynamic compression of the recordings makes the CDs unlistenable except at low volumes. Why do all the mixing engineers insist on pushing every frequency level to the max?
12. I love me some 18" sub! No replacement for displacement.
13. Up for sale is a nice KV-4 center channel. It features 8" mid drivers and a 2 1/2" tweeter. Functionally, it is in perfect condition and cosmetically, it is in really good condition. One end does have a few scuffs due to the store I purchased it had it standing on its side on a shelf. Just a little scuffing. Shipping to the continental US will be around $40-$50.
14. I just picked up a KV-4 today and was planning to list it for sale in the Garage Sale, but I don't really know what a fair price would be. I've seen them listed for a wide range of prices on the internet and there hasn't been any recent sales of one on Ebay. What is the going price?
15. Sorry, it sold Wednesday. I will go ahead and marked sold.
16. I guess someone better jump on this one before I change my mind and raise the price! JK
17. I picked up a used, obviously, DH-220 in very good condition. The amp is in good cosmetic condition and sounds great. I purchased this locally and don't know all of its history, but before I listed elsewhere I thought I would offer it to the Forum first. I noticed on the internet that these were sold as either complete or as kits. This one does have a serial # sticker on the bottom, if that means anything. Description The DH-220 circuit is a refinement of the DH-200 design, a Hafler landmark which has achieved worldwide recognition, and has elicited glowing reviews since its 1979 introduction. As in the DH-110 preamplifier, particular attention has been paid to component quality, using polypropylene or film capacitors wherever feasible, for example, for superior sound. Combining the latest power MOSFET technology with uniquely simple and effective circuit topology reduces distortion of all types, and at all power levels, over the full audio frequency spectrum, to the vanishing point. Specifications Power output: 115 watts per channel into 8Ω (stereo) Frequency response: 6Hz to 60kHz Total harmonic distortion: 0.02% Damping factor: 60 Input sensitivity: 1.55V Signal to noise ratio: 100dB Semiconductors: 26 x transistors, 8 x MOSfet, 29 x diodes, 4 x zener diodes, 1 x diode bridge Dimensions: 5-1/8 x 16 x 10-1/2 inches Weight: 26lbs Year: 1984

WTB KV-3

I also was not impressed with the KG 2.2 as a center. It seems like the KV series of centers were an improvement
19. I've refinished numerous cabinets over the years. I typically sand them down a bit to remove the existing finish and any scratches. I will then use a water-based stain and polyeurathane to seal. There are even some stains with a sealer mixed in with the stain. A lot of people prefer not to use polyeurathane to seal them, but will use tung oil. When I do you poly to seal, I will apply multiple layers and sand in between layers going up in grit each time. Maybe starting off at 80-120 g for the first sanding and by the last, I will use 400 g or higher. I would recommend Crites for audio upgrades and if you want original grill cloth. If you want to go custom, Parts Express has some options.
