  1. https://www.klipsch.com/products/klipschorn-floorstanding-speaker Dont see any on heritage but since they raised the prices if you have to ask you cant afford them now.
  2. I just looked and saw that all the prices have been removed. I dont think you should have to ask what price is for something. Thats one reason I hate going to car lots or anyplace where you have to ask. Anyone know why they removed the prices ?
  3. I just looked on the site they no longer list prices why ? How do you know what prices are then ??
  4. I with all do respect disagree,,,,after I added a few screws and veneer on the outside of mine the sides a a lot stiffer than they were. I use to be able to flex the sides just with my hands,,,now even with my knee on one side and both hands on other side it barley even moves. I wished I had documented this but I forgot to.
  5. Yes do replace crossover.....check washer on mid driver that mid driver has had noise problems from loose plastic back cover also. That should do it unless the tweeter is blown or bad. I would have went with the type A crossover but thats just me.
  6. I veneered my original ones with cherry on the out sides and just stained the dog house. Then I made lambs wool grills.
  7. https://kansascity.craigslist.org/ele/d/shawnee-mission-klipsch-cornwall-ii/6815596471.html I would go with these...it says Cornwall II but the back comes off so they are really Cornwall Is
  8. What ever you decide call Cory for price quote ……… In your size room I would go with cornwalls....or LaScalas.....
  9. Not sure which ones your talking about. The auction I went to was in KCMO close to me. I dont even think there was anyone on the phone. I think the guy running the show just trying to run up the price.
  10. Well if you go to the Klipsch Pilgrimage you can go inside a very special one. It has a several ton rotating door made to test not only speakers but the Klipschorn also.
  11. If they were installed correctly they are not even touching the brick. Should be foam or some kind of seal to the corner. The last auction I went to they were C quality and they were run up to a A quality price. There were only 3 of us there and guy on the ''phone'' lol. We all left and they still had entire house of stuff to sell. We figured it was all going to be run up by guy on ''Phone'' I bet these go up to more than 4000 actions are a joke if you ask me. Because they look at the new prices and figure they can get close to that. I bet that pair I went to are still owned by the auctioneer...lol.

  13. I would say Klipsch all the way. If you can get Accesories4less to deliver to you I would buy and Integra AVR from them. Around my area those would have already been sold.
  14. Well since your a new owner of Ks I would be more concerned do you have them sealed to the corner vertically and horizontally with pipe foam . I had mine for years powered with a HK 430 reciever from the 70s with 24 watts. But I think they need a few more watts to really shine. I was wondering if these were from Cory he said he sold a pair. You didn't say what you had before a lot of new Klipsch owners think they are bright so tone controls would be recommended. Then I would make sure the first 5 watts are clean such as the McIntosh would probably guarantee. I also have my LaScalas run with a Dynaco ST70 rebuilt tube amp that sounds awesome but for home theater may not be suitable. Does not have enough reserve power for movies. I have my K-Horns hooked to an Integra AVR right now cause they are part of home theater but I also listen to 2 channel on them also. The Integra allows you to switch to 2 channel and has a great equalizer set up.
  15. I think Thebes is on right track the phono wires going to your amp are bad or the connections are dirty. Get Deoxit and clean them. Switching them around to see if it follows the wires good idea also. You didn't say what you are using for amp could be the selector switch is dirty if its and older unit. Cartridge alignment tool is pretty cheap and maybe get some kind of tracking force gauge. https://smile.amazon.com/Professional-Turntable-Backlight-Cartridge-Jewellery/dp/B00KMJXEBQ/ref=sr_1_9?ie=UTF8&qid=1548061025&sr=8-9&keywords=turntable+tracking+force+gauge https://smile.amazon.com/Turntable-Phonograph-Cartridge-Alignment-Protractor/dp/B079ZBLJ4M/ref=sr_1_2_sspa?ie=UTF8&qid=1548061104&sr=8-2-spons&keywords=turntable+alignment+tool&psc=1
  16. Dam would ove to see pics of LaScalas.
  17. They look awesome and pretty good price for someone looking for some. Once you realize you messed up you can call Cory and buy new at good price he is dealer. Wished I was closer probably be mine .
  18. if you got the bank call Cory again and get parasound. I wonder how many sales I helped Cory with ??? I would love a LaScala poster Cory ??????
  19. Its a pair of 1500 dollar LaScalas foe sale in FB market place on the Klipsch forum on FB. Since your a member here you can join Steven and Cory's Klipsch site there. Also order from Cory who is a dealer. You can also call Cory he is a Klipsch dealer with pretty good buys. metropolislakeoutfitters

  21. Funny how people always say ...when I put them side by side Klipsch wins..... If you think KGs are good wait till you hear LaScalas. But before you buy check to make sure all drivers working and if crossover has been updated. You could sell your current speakers and ad some funds and call Cory get New Forte's I bet. He has some B stock speakers for low prices now. He even has a pair of 70th anniversary KHorns for cheap. If buying new call Cory.
  22. I used rustoleom liquid enamel inside and out on them. Used a brush was messy but it smooths out. I sanded the seams really good I also used an O-ring on the mid driver it doesn't stick out into horn path. I used a dowel rod with emery cloth to get down in the throat to smooth it out. The enamel also deadens the horn quite a bit if you coat the outside also.
  23. I would just put type As in them keep it simple. AA only have diodes for tweets so not really needed. What you plan to do with the cabinets ?? Veneer...If you put screws in the sides lower and top then veneer outside it will stop the side flex.

Both weigh the same according to spec. sheet. https://f072605def1c9a5ef179-a0bc3fbf1884fc0965506ae2b946e1cd.ssl.cf2.rackcdn.com/product-specsheets/La-Scala-2018-Spec-Sheet-v01-1.pdf newest one weighs 201lbs. https://f072605def1c9a5ef179-a0bc3fbf1884fc0965506ae2b946e1cd.ssl.cf2.rackcdn.com/product-specsheets/Klipschorn-AK6-Spec-Sheet-v01.pdf newest K horn weighs 220lbs So depends on which one your buying. Call Cory he could probably tell you how much each section weighs and give you a good price on any of them. I wonder if there is going to be 2 models of each because those newest ones are crazy prices. I bet they dont sell many of the newest ones but that may be their plan. I dont know anyone who can afford the current ones let alone the newer ones. No price on the newer LaScala.
