When TNN use to show the races i use to put the sound through my Scalas they got close but the ESPN sound sucks big time i dont know why.ESPN needs to get thier sound better i think...i know you cant get it like being there but what they got now is bad.Anyone hear it when TNN had the race on thier channel>>???Rick

Im a NHRA fan to,,,just got through watching qualifyng on tv...been to Heartland park alot and you cant get that sound on a tv.Everyone should go to one event just to say you been to one but dont blink,,,lol...Rick

Yes i would recomend Scalas...you get the K-horn upper end with it.You didnt say what you got now though and what amp your using i would recomend an HK430 for all Heritage and if you got a smooth hard floor i would put Grippers on the bottom of the speakers.Rick

Parts express also has 12GA sound king 259 stranded wire that looks exactly like munster stuff i got a roll of it to rewire my K-Horn project it is sweet stuff.Also used ternimals from parts expres to from the car section gold plated ring and spade terminals that fit the Heritage crossovers perfect.Rick

I would just use walnut veneer ,,by the time you figure out what stain to use and apply it you could have veneered them, Rick

If you got hardwood floors i would try Grippers from wal-mart just pull out the sliders or put the Grippers on top of them. This idea came from Andy..HDBR.. he use to work at Hope he had me try this idea on my Scalas and although i didnt A-B test the idea i think it helps.Maybe you could A-B test it put Grippers on one speaker and listen see if it works for you.Rick

Wow i remember when my LaScalas were delivered and un boxed to this day,loved the smell and then the sound the guys checked them over then left and i stayed up allnight.lol..You might try grippers on yours if you can roll the carpet away and then A/B them make sure you put gripper in center of access door to.Can you get better pics soon would love to see them better.Rick

I think the riser is only 3/4 inch wood i cant see Klipsch buying 1 inch wood for that spacer and Andy said its just scrap from a sheet of 3/4 any way since you only see the edge, i guess on some they might have built it out of mitered strips to to save wood.Rick

Its not that hard to get staples out i just use a small screw driver, pop in a movie and a glass of tea and get-er-done,,,lol.The problem is finding a staple gun that will put staples back in, mine have to be hammered down after done also dont forget to spray paint under the grill cloth again.Rick
