  1. Got myself an equipment rack. It has built-in variable speed fans. I will add a thermostat.
  2. That wood has an interesting grain pattern. Your pieces are especially nice, and I am sure they look even better in person.
  3. later followed by; Where did you come up with that? I grew up admiring Paul Klipsch because he built and sold excellent products that allowed people to have high quality audio at a fair price, actually saving people money (less watts needed) with his brilliant designs and good-natured spirit.
  4. Yes, I had also read that. Just curious about more details, if Dave felt like sharing more.
  5. I thought you wanted 115db/1 meter to be your standard.
  6. @Dave A , What is the silver dot on the lower front of the cherry wood?
  7. I do already. The Denon could be a good addition for a different room.
  8. Normally yes, depending on the product, which will have its own instructions. Applying the planks on a wall, I might use Green Glue from a caulking gun tube, and an 18 gauge brad nailer to pin it in place at studs.
  9. DENON AVR-X3700H 9.2-Ch x 105 Watts 8K A/V Receiver w/HEOS | Accessories4less Let me know where one can get an X3700H for $1000, because I want one and already thought the Acc4Less price was tempting.
  10. Upgrading the center channel tweeter with the Axi-2050 was a good improvement. When watching a movie, the dialog is much clearer and more precise.
  11. The reclaimed wood might be a good project for some folks who like all the labor involved with the real thing. The rest of us might prefer the simplicity of installing some pre-finished flooring planks. I would be inclined to use flooring, because you can get any look you want and it is easy to work with.
  12. The wire terminals mentioned above are for a certain range of wire gauges. If one wants to use heavier gauge wire, then please select the appropriate size when shopping.
  13. A good option for folks who want big sound from a compact size speaker.
  14. I think I read about a square mouth version that you were building. Is that in progress?
  15. I have never had the opportunity to compare the two. Can one hear a favorable difference during a left/right comparison using matching drivers? I am curious because I have some AK-2 that will need new caps one day soon.
  16. @MMurg , I imagine that your Jubilee continue to amaze you!
  17. @Bubba_Buoy, I also wonder about the two woofers polarity being positively correct, from the amplifier output to the woofer terminals.
  18. It is okay, the forum is a great place for many good different sources of information. In the meantime, here is a link to the connectors I used for my tweeters. 1/4" (22-18) Nylon Insulated Female Disconnect Crimp Terminal Red 50 Pcs. (parts-express.com) I also use the ratcheting crimper tool shown on that page.
  19. That picture above is courtesy of Schu. I just use regular quality terminals from Parts Express.
  20. Wire is not included with the driver. It has standard .250" flat spade male terminals, so you will need female terminals for your wire ends.
  21. I would have paid $$$s for the empty K-horn cardboard boxes. Never saw the ad. 🙁
