  1. I hope to have one someday. A while back, someone posted a picture and info of a GAN FET encased inside a glass vacuum tube and built onto a "tube" amp chassis. It was interesting.
  2. It looks like a fancy 8-slice toaster. 😄
  3. @MMurg, The K-402 horns make the single 18x10 look like a mini-horn, so I extended the black vinyl wrap to about 30x14 on the center channel horn mount panel, giving it better visual proportions. These 2 pictures from a couple years ago show the before and after difference.
  4. If the horn is mounted on the backside, with a 16x8 opening, it will look really small in your room, so I would be inclined to mount the 18x10 flange on the front side. Your cabinet shop could be asked to router out a recess for the front flange to setback into, so that the horn is flush with the front face of the walnut panel. Then apply a one inch wide strip of black self-stick vinyl over the flange perimeter to cover the screw holes and give it a smooth, clean appearance .
  5. An idea that just crossed my mind. Maybe you could saw out a walnut motorboard for the 18x10 horn mounting, with similar proportions as the panels around your K-402, and raise the very top panel of the Belle for the new motorboard to fit. Get grill cloth for the Belle bass cabinet to match the Jubilee and then the tiny Belle could look like it belongs there in the center position.
  6. @MMurg, Your new speakers are just the right size! ☺️
  7. Just as @Marvel pointed out about your Marantz, go to Settings, then Inputs, then Source Level and adjust for each source.
  8. Happy for you and your beautiful new Klipsch Jubilee.
  9. These could be the settings for your tweeters, or at least a good guideline. I would begin with a higher ( 500 Hz ) high pass crossover point.
  10. Yes, I agree with @babadono about the info in those links to @Chris A threads here on the forum.
  11. Those tweeter horns look good.
  12. That seems like a good plan for the time being, especially since the Oppo has an excellent DAC. So, you keep using the Onkyo for all other normal functions and your wife is happy!
  13. I wonder if this applies to your selection?
  14. I don't have the official answer for you but, are you looking at buying a used conversion kit and want to verify its authenticity or, are you wanting to build it yourself and need measurements?
  15. The instructions also say to choose "with External Pre-Main Amplifier" or "with External Main Amplifier". There is other fine print, but I don't want to complicate things if @Emile has the system functioning to his satisfaction.
  16. The Zone 2 and Zone 3 signal paths have several stipulations about inputs and signal types and sequences of button pressing operations. Functions can accidentally be disabled without realizing how or why.
  17. I like to experience many different things.
  18. Some AVRs have so many inputs, outputs, DSP modes and remote Zones that you often need to sketch or visualize a flowchart in order to follow the signal path. Glad that you are having good tunes again!
  19. Good to know that your Onkyo AVR is working properly.
  20. I would try that. If movie soundtrack dialog sounds good, then buy or build a shelf that insulates the projector from vibrations.
