  1. which is going between speakers that are $2,000 each. It's not really inappropriate. If possible just get a third Forte, only down side is that if you're using a TV it will be higher than what most people consider to be ideal.
  2. I'm only aware of two others. There has only been one production run and I got all of them except for two that a VP got. Two were sold. There are also four prototypes floating around. Still have three boxed up.
  3. KPT-1502. Gotta rearrange and clean up and make some covers but yeah jubilees and a 1502 for my outdoor system. May or may not plasti-kote it in white.
  4. Like I said before the ones you mentioned will be brighter. Upper treble will be noticeably louder. I'd get the matching ones unless you're on a budget and need to use the current ones.
  5. In regards to the original poster, it wasn't meant to be a poster, it's a canvas, they were developed for the Heritage dealer program, they are supposed to be exclusives. Nobody is going to have a source file and you aren't supposed to be able to buy them. These are the matching LS and Forte ones, I have both.
  6. Poster tubes cost $1.07 each. Shipping the poster tubes to me adds about $1. Unless I order a ton of them they cost $18 each to print. Buying hundreds of dollars worth of posters at a time gets it to $14.40 each. Shipping via USPS costs on average about $8.50. If I send via UPS it's $12-14. Card fees cost me $1.05. Website transaction adds fees but I forget how much. Have to drive to the post office and back to ship. It's not normal but I do have some shipping damage and have to make up for it. If anybody thinks it's unreasonable, do the math. Truth be told it's nowhere near worth my time to mess with them at this price in terms of making money but people like it so I do it. If I ship via UPS and don't buy in bulk I actually lose money at that price, just working for free, and eating the damages.
  7. Matt Sommers the senior creative director at Klipsch aka. head of all things artistic created these, they are bona fide. Can't get any more proper. I'm not sending anybody the source files.
  8. I wouldn't worry about it myself, I've seen one of the engineers publicly state that you can hang the ported bookshelves flat up against the wall. Of course it's not optimal for bass but it's not like you're pushing a bunch of air through them anyway, most likely you'll have an 80 hz crossover. Just try it and see if it sounds ok to you, people do things like this all the time. Personally I wish they'd put ports on the fronts just because of non-stop situations and subsequent questions like this.
  9. Unless you're just hurting for space and have the matching RP-4000F towers I wouldn't get the 400C, you're just going to be upgrading again in the future and it will be hard to sell. If at all possible try to save up and shoot for the larger ones like the RP-504C, that's where 95% of everybody with Reference Premier ends up, but, yeah you're not going to get it for $200. The titanium tweeters with the molded silicone horn on the RP's are more pleasant, it's not as harsh / fatiguing / bright once you crank them up. I'd much rather have RP bookshelves than the entry level Reference towers myself. Don't get 4" woofers expecting them to be heavy / thick / punchy.
  10. You can use the surrounds you mentioned with the speakers you mentioned, BUT, they are brighter and you may be able to tell, whether or not it bothers you isn't something we can answer. I put RS-62II and RP-502S in the same room and the RS-62II measured about 4 db hotter on everything above 4.5 khz. You should get similar results on the top end. So, you might want to EQ them down a little if you can. The RP-502S / 402S / 250S is voiced to be more proper with the 280F and 8000F.
  11. R-34C, R-52C R-51M, R-41M, R-41SA of course if you ever thought about upgrading in the future then jump to a nicer center then upgrade your towers later. RP-504C and RP-502S if you want RP-8000F's, or RC-64III if you ever want RF-7III's. Otherwise the stuff above technically matches best.
  12. Have you actually used them yet? I put the Sixes in my bedroom for TV usage just like this and couldn't stand listening to them, dialogue was not very good and there was no way for any room correction. Just not something I would recommend plus given the remote situation I'd look elsewhere myself.
  13. There are different trains of thought. 1. For a modern Atmos speaker, it's most correct to have direct radiating monopoles for all surrounds. 2. Traditionally speaking the Dolby recommended setup for a 7.1 system is dispersed / bipole type of surrounds on the side but direct radiating monopoles in the rear. 3. Regardless of any recommendations, a direct radiating horn from 3 feet away isn't exactly the most comfortable thing ever so you may want to avoid such things and just go with the RP-402S or 502S for both sides and rears, which plenty of people do.
  14. https://www.amazon.com/Mount-Universal-Clamping-Bookshelf-Mounting/dp/B01N2TM8BQ/ref=asc_df_B01N2TM8BQ/?tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=198062682203&hvpos=1o1&hvnetw=g&hvrand=2863613189351966431&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9014677&hvtargid=pla-319814671128&psc=1 look at something like that, basically they just clamp to the sides of the speaker.
  15. Don't mix Best Buy's entry level Reference with Reference Premier. Save up and get all Reference Premier if at all possible. That's just the nature of them, they're kind of one note wonders compared to other subs, they aren't going to dig super deep. You're going to get a ton of output around 50 hz or so but 20-25 probably not so much and it's not going to be super tight. Kinda gotta spend more to get what you're looking for, these are extreme entry level. Setup can be a factor too, I mean, doesn't really matter what subs you have, if you're sitting in a null and try to EQ your way out of it, it's going to sound horrid.
  16. 5.1 surround speakers go on the side. Given your room situation I assume the main listening position is the couch where the stairs are on the left. If so, being right up on the wall isn't the greatest place anyway especially since there is nothing to mount it to to the left of the couch. They need to go on the side walls facing that couch, like to the right of the lamp. I can't tell what's to the left of the stairs though but based on what little I can see it should be pretty straightforward.
  17. If you get bass on blu rays then it's not the R-115SW's fault. Maybe I'm misunderstanding but the fact that it works with some types of inputs ought to rule out the sub being problematic. First thing I would check is your settings again. I know you said you set it to small and all that but a lot of Denon and Marantz products actually have two settings, there is the main one for surround sound but there is an entirely different but similar setting specifically for 2-channel. You can have your speakers set to small and use a subwoofer with surround sound but then set them to large and bypass the subwoofer for 2-channel, and when streaming, it's going to be 2-channel, so, good chance it's doing this. Check that first.
  18. Let's just be realistic here... if we're going to point out the inherent flaws of a horizontal center channel, then taking a Heresy and laying it on its side shouldn't get a free pass, come on. Off-axis measurements would be jacked plus you'll be spraying sound all over the floor and ceiling.
  19. There are three styrofoam holder thingys in the box, one is a cap on the top of the speaker, one is a cap on the bottom, and one goes around the middle. Just based on what little I have seen I would assume that the styrofoam support that goes around the middle caused this, maybe the vinyl finish wasn't cured then pressure was applied, who knows. There should have been a plastic bag around the speakers so the styrofoam doesn't rub on them otherwise something like this is probably much more likely.
  20. Unfinished needs to not get recommended to be honest. Just pretend that one doesn't exist.
  21. I've asked the powers that be at Klipsch to make a matching horizontal Heritage center channel, hopefully they will someday.
  22. Well... considering that piano black is hard to sell, and SPL-150's aren't exactly flying off the shelves, I'd say that a piano black SPL-150 probably just about fits their description pretty well. I've bought 50 R-115SW's at a time before but I'd have a hard time justifying stocking these.
  23. You probably want the HF, not the MF. 097074000001.
  24. dynamic eq makes things more lively at lower volumes, most people prefer it on. rolling off the top end can in fact kill the klipsch sound if you get too aggressive with it. Audyssey pro is bad about this. It's more comfortable but it doesn't seem to consider the character of the speaker very well, it just kind of neuters them.
