Neal welcome to the forum, to echo Billy Bob's message. I own Forte II, since day 1. Like you have enjoyed them to the point that over the years. After checking out replacement, always return to my Forte's very pleased. Unfortunately, your black finish issue is beyond my experience. The rear inactive Bass cover, I have had same issue. Quick easy solution; use your vacuum with hose, carefully apply to speaker and slowly working from outer side of dent, let the vac pull on speaker. It will begin to pop back, work slowly with purpose. I picked up that tip many years ago from this forum. Only solution I have used that corrected issue, with no damage. You have the opportunity on this forum to learn much more about your speakers. Including tips to freshen them up to sound even better as I have. They do have "specials" I don't recall when, you can call them. In addition, they offer discounts on returned subs and slightly touched. In fact that is how I was able to afford my Ultra SB-13. Could you share where or how you find the correct center that is intended for which Speaker package, please. I understand the rationale that suggests pairing Forte's with a forte as the center speaker. Where does one find list of Klipsch Speakers and the reccomend Center Speaker? Thank you in advance. Recall purchasing this album, motivated by my enjoyment of "Steely Dan". Recall the first time listening to, being stunned by the quality of this recording. The detail and power of the music was a new experience. That moment, is when I believe my ear matured in its ability to appreciate quality audio. The quality of the recording was a pleasure and I became less focus on playing for he loudness. Now, some 35 yrs later, "Nightfly", continues to deliver an enjoyable experience. That has improved since that first day when I brought my purchase home from CALDOR (Department store, long gone). My enjoyment of listening to this album, since first listening back in the day, has only improved. Best guess probably the best Four Bucks I ever spent.

Curious anyone own both the new Forte III & the Forte II's; and have shared their impression of how they sound? Not unlike many of you, I fell in love with the finishes of Forte III. I don't doubt that I would love to have them. Simply need to resolve the outlay vs how much more pleasure I may gain. If I had own Forte I's first, couldn't see replacing them, to buy the Forte II. I suspect that the difference to the III is greater improvement. Hopefully a dealer or forum member nearby will have the Forte III and be kind enough to let us have a listen. cgolf70; My experience with my Forte II's. Having owned since delivery from Hope AK where they were crafted. After speaking with Bob Crities, I replaced Crossovers, and both Tweeters & Mids to Titanium. Then I perform my own non-scientific test, by listening to the first speaker that was upgraded vs other speaker that hadn't been upgraded. Results were rewarding, and I never second guessed my spending $'s with Bob Crities. Hope your results are as revealing as mine were. Good luck and always enjoy your sounds.
