  9. I am also using Forte II's as my front speakers. I agree with Bill if you have the room, another Forte would be ideal as a Center speaker. When I asked this forum the same question several years ago, suggestions received consisted of using: another Forte II or an Heresy (if size wasn't an issue). If space is an issue either Academy or KLF-C7. I tried a Heresy, which was a great solution, other than size not feasible for daily use. The Academy is a good solution. Although I found the KLF-C7 to be the perfect solution, based on timbre, sound, responsiveness and size. Plus, I suggest upgrading the Crossovers and replacing the tweeters to Titanium, for each of the Forte II's & the KLF-C7. I purchased my parts from Bob Crities. Who is a great resource for ideas and solutions. Plus I found the quality of his parts excellent as well as reasonably priced. 11. I also have the M40, fortunately haven't had your experience. However, did have a similar issue with the storage bag. Hadn't used the bag in a while, came across and was going to put M40 in for storage. Noticed that one side looked strange. Realized that the storage container was constructed of cardboard, that was wrapped with several pieces nof leather that had been glued on. Needless to say, was a bit surprised. Fortunately, the headphones perform beautifully with smooth clarity. Sorry that I don't have any answers to your issue. You may want to reach out to Klipsch Customer Support. Good luck. 12. Was definitely a good guy, miss his helpful suggestions. Hope he is spending some quality time with Paul Klipsch. Sent from my SM-G920P using Tapatalk
  13. Thank you dtr20 for your reply. Your suggestion makes good sense, have read many good comments regarding the KG series. Makes sense that they would match the Forte II's. Based on prices I recall seeing last summer, I could afford trying a pair. Worst scenario either gift to my daughter or sale. Expect that I would be happy using as rears. Happy & Healthy New Year to you & yours. Jeff Sent from my SM-G920P using Tapatalk
  14. If you do purchase a Heresy II, suggest that you upgrade the crossovers. At the same time you can upgrade the Tweeters to Titanium. I found that these updates will improve your Heresy or other Heritage model dramatically. The cost for parts is approximately $100, and just need a screw driver (preferably a electric). I have bought my parts from Bob Crities, extremely pleased with the results. When completed, you'll have virtually new speakers. Best of luck. Sent from my SM-G920P using Tapatalk
  15. Note, my spell check, messed up. I have a Sub Woofer in my set-up. Our Subaru Outback is outstanding and is used on the road, not in family room. Sent from my SM-G920P using Tapatalk
  16. Currently have upgraded Forte II in front, KLF-C7 for Center, Heresy III for rears, and SVS Ultra-13 Subaru woofer. Realizing that using Heresy III in Rear, is over kill. Wondering if their is another option that would match the timber of my fronts. The room is to small for surrounds, would one of the Reference models serve as a solution? Have seen; RS-II, RS-3, RS-3 II and RS-10. Welcome any feedback, curious if I can find a solution and then I can use the Heresy III in a 2 speaker system. Thank you in advance. 18. Thanks for sharing. I was impressed with the titanium upgrade for my Forte II, I have had those speakers since 1993 as I had bought new. I added the KLF-C7 a couple of years ago. Had never had a center speaker before, was very happy with the addition. Did you find the upgrade a small or large improvement to your center? Appreciate your comments. I know I will end up following through, just need a bit of motivation. Thanks and all the best, Jeff Sent from my SM-G920P using Tapatalk
  19. A while ago, I upgraded my Forte II; & Bob did say he sold them in singles. Unfortunately I got distracted with life and never tackled the KLF-C7 titanium update. I would be interested in working with you, if that is the case. Regards, Jeff Sent from my SM-G920P using Tapatalk
  20. Thanks, hadn't seen your private message. Probably my error, I am having a challenge with using the Forum Update. Miss the original system, I thought it was more user friendly. Plus disappointed I wasn't able to keep all my old postings, especially as my memory isn't as sharp as it was. Lost my identity within the Klipsch Family, which I truly value and gained so much from. 21. I previously replied to your question. What is the deal, appears to be Chorus 1's. Can you share additional details as in year built, condition, etc. Plus where are you located, I am in Norwalk, CT 06850. Am I close to you? If so, how close?Thank you in advance. 24. I have owned the XPA-5, for four years and it has performed flawlessly. At the same time I bought the UMC-1. We enjoyed the UMC-1, although it we did occasionally have some bugs. EMOTIVA's provided continuous support to us. They issued several software updates that resolved issues for us. Overall we were very pleased with the UMC-1, especially considering the price at the time. Recently we upgraded to the XMC-1 Video/Audio Processor. The difference between the two, is unbelievable. The XMC -1 has exceeded every expectation we ever had. The sound is incredible, the options and quality is at least comparable or exceeds some $10,000 plus units I had checked out for kicks. (Note $3,000, was outside our budget). Needless to say, I am extremely happy that I found EMOTIVA. Great customer service and communication with their customers. Light years ahead of my original ADCOMM System that I was originally considering to update. Thankfully I read a posting on the Klipsch Forum from a fellow Klipsch member who shared their positive experience. Which in turn peaked my interest in EMOTIVA. BTW, our speaker system is: Forte II (Front), Heresy III (Rear), KLF-C7 (Center) & SVS SB 13 ULTRA (Sub). Sent from my SM-G920P using Tapatalk
