  1. By far. The whole speaker is fantastic but the midrange is astonishing. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  3. If you listen to blues and want 2-channel only, I'd recommend the Forte III. I own both the RF-7 III and the Forte III and the Forte are hands-down winners for blues. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. The RF-7 III is still a totally different speaker.
  5. I've got a set of Chorus II in walnut I'm going to be selling. I'm located in CT.
  6. The Forte III just sound much more realistic. They have more full midrange than the Chorus II and don't ever get "shouty" at higher levels. The detail of the 3s is also just about the most I've heard from ANY speaker. There are many pieces to songs that the Chorus just don't capture. Bass I'd say is a close match.
  7. You will get much more low range...and spectacular mids. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. The 63/83 were the top of the RF line at the time. They use a true 1.25" compression driver vs a horn loaded dome for the RP line. A well-executed compression driver is something special. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. They have to make improvements/changes otherwise there's no reason to introduce a new model. I had the Forte I, currently have the Chorus II and Forte III. The Forte I and Chorus II are not fatiguing and are great speakers. The Forte III, however, blows them out of the water. They truly are fantastic. I also owned the RF-7II, which was fatiguing and bright to me. It has a rising response above 2k with a couple peaks in the response that bother some people but not others. That doesn't make them bad speakers, but ones that did not fit my (and many) tastes. I assume the RF-7III is in response to the complaints around some of the response issues and I'm excited to get the news ones and see what they're all about!
  10. I've used the 64II with Chorus II for a while and it works great. Blends very well and is almost as efficient. (99db vs 101)
  11. 15. You can fit it without and issue and it goes much deeper than the 12.
  12. @MetropolisLakeOutfitters I think you've mentioned his name before...I cant remember it at the moment.
  13. ...Roy doesn't work on the Reference series.
  14. I won't be able to comment on the sound of the new ones until I hear the 3s (soon)...but I can say the 2s were most definitely fatiguing.
  15. @MetropolisLakeOutfitters Has experience with the II and III. I'm betting he'd choose the III but I'll let him tell you!
  16. I think a lot of people who are buying the RF-7III for home theater will buy dedicated in-ceiling height channels.
  17. Is the K-48-ST a possibility from the KI-396?
  18. I've got Chorus II in walnut that are available. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. spend a little more on a JTR that will take the monolith's lunch money

Will have the patented Klipsch water rings before you know it! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. ...imagine what a Klipschorn or Jubilee will do
  22. I still think it's a placement issue. I know other speakers sounded fine in the position but that doesn't mean much. Every speaker is different. The Forte III is the most realistic sounding speaker I've ever owned...and I've owned somewhere near 40 pairs now. They have a more realistic sound than my Altec 19s and that is saying A LOT.
