    JTR subs?

Only pic I have at the moment when I was getting it into positron. This thing is amazing! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. RB-75 were USA too. Looks like all your sets are US made!

    What I Got Today!

I've seen those before and they're certainly interesting looking. How do they sound?

    What I Got Today!

A size comparison vs The Sixes. These certainly aren't dainty.

    What I Got Today!

RB-75! I'm not sure why Klipsch stopped making these...
  6. where's the "doesn't affect sound quality" part?
  7. I wouldn't say people are against them. There are a lot of members that have those diaphragms. The issue with the titanium mid is that you have to install a bandpass to avoid overlapping frequencies - the phenolic had a natural rolloff so it wasn't originally in the crossover.
  8. Having heard fortes/heresies with the exponential mid (same as the Cornwall 3), vs the Chorus II with the tractrix, my vote would be Forte III. I'm trying to figure out how to get a set myself.
  9. Beautiful speakers! GLWS! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. I sent the guy a message asking about the tweeter. It's clearly missing because you can see the wall and cabinet through the opening. ...he told me to look closer and that they are there.
  11. Beautiful speakers! Wish they were closer. GLWS!
  12. Very nice! Quartets are some of my favorites.

    What I Got Today!

JTR 118HT. I haven't had much time to listen yet, but so far it's spectacular.

More woofage... (Excuse the moving pads)
  15. I may have missed it, where are you located? Edit: TN? Darn. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. If you are talking about just music, I would go with the Heresy III. I liked them much better for music. If it is a mix between movies and music, then it gets a little more difficult. The 280s are definitely brighter than the Heresy, and can add excitement to movies. If it helps, I owned the 280s for a month before I moved to RF-7II. I also sold the RF-7II and had the Heresy the longest. I now have Chorus II and am very pleased. The heritage/extended heritage line is truly special. I don't know what your budget is, but you may want to wait for the Forte III that is coming out, as that should be spectacular.
  17. I would definitely get the RC-64II over the 450C. Again, I owned both, and while the 450 is awesome, the 64 is much better. I still have the 64 to go with my Chorus II.
  18. I've owned both the 280 and the 7ii. The 7ii is better for both movies and music. MSRP on each, i wouldn't say the 7ii is worth the price difference. However, at the prices they can be had, the 7ii is worth the cost.
  19. Nice price! I'd love to try those. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    JTR subs?

@AaronB123 has dual orbit shifters too and it sounds like that is incredibly intense. My R-115SW has no problem filling my ~2200 c.f. room, or my entire downstairs even. There was a point in one movie that it had opened a drawer on the opposite end of the house. I don't need more output over the R-115, but I would like a bit more clarity. Although the Klipsch is fantastic for movies, I find myself wanting more for music. My HSU ULS-15 MKII is much better in this regard, but won't handle movies as well. Since it's a dual purpose room, I wanted to see if I could find something that could handle clarity for music and power for movies. The JTR Captivator 118HT looks to fit the bill. The woofer is extremely light and is 100db sensitive. I think that will match quite nicely with the Chorus II. It also has about 9-10db more output across the board against the Klipsch, so I'm not concerned about losing any power. Built in USA and in walnut are both big selling points for me too.
