They have a nice Marantz 4270 but I am not big on quads if you only really want 2 channel. Too many parts to replace and too many things to go wrong. Nice unit though

Picked up the latest Paul Simon album. Well recorded. Sounds great. Most of his albums do.

The Record Centre in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. Cool shop. They often have live bands playing while you flip through records. The Tannoys are on a half wall at the back of the store. They are impressive.

A local record store here has a pair of Tannoy Westminster’s as their house speakers. They occasionally turn them up a bit and all I can say is wow! Powerhouse speakers. Should be for 40k I guess. I have used “No More Nails” made by Lepage. It comes in a squeeze tube, caulking tube and a can with propellant. It is basically construction adhesive and works well.

Picked up a 6500 watt generator today. Tornadoes went through my area last week. Figured it was time to get some backup power and really be self sufficient. Should do the trick.

I use the Audioengine D2 streamer. I have had no issues with drop out. It doesn’t use your wifi. It runs an independent signal. Sound quality is top notch. The DAC is better than my Marantz amp. Very happy with the product. I assume that all of their products are made to the same quality level. Their powered speakers are highly rated.

If you are looking for isolation feet try Sorbothane Hemispheres in Duro 50 or 30. I wouldn’t use anything else.

Sooo tempting. I am in Ottawa and still have a home in Leaside which I visit regularly. I have my heart set on a new pair of Forte III’s.

I use Dayton Audio spikes under my speakers and Sorbothane hemispheres under everything else. Works great. Just have to have the correct load factor on the Sorbothane.
