  1. Cool for a garage, man-cave or a night club ... but would not want them in my house
  2. Yeah; now we stand in line and collect $50 bills from the candidates
  3. Hi All, Could not resist posting this ... I am sooo tired of all these political adds ... get 20 flyers in the mail each day ... plus at least 20 calls Of course I'm in Florida, so it's probably worse here The Senate races have spend about $90 million ... haha almost $5 per resident The political ads are 90% false (I have quit giving any contributions ... but I guess they are getting their money "everywhere" ) How do we stop this "madness?" Cheers, Emile

    Bohemian Rhapsody

OK; can we "loose" this HERO stuff? The only real hero's risks their lives to save other people. Contributing money to good causes does not make a "hero." It just makes a "good person."
  5. Jeez ... down again ... maybe @derrickdj1 was right
  6. Hi Steve, Have 3 Heresy's ... L/R/C. Yes; do have a 15" sub ... last used it about 3 months ago ... hope that answers your question Cheers, Emile
  7. Darn ... you just missed these for $600 ... see: There is also a pair on US AudioMart for $1000 ... Austin, TX. Don't know where you are located https://www.usaudiomart.com/details/649468925-klipsch-chorus-ii-speakers-location-pickup-in-austin-area/images/2023912/ If I were in your position, I'd pick up the Heresy III's for $900, which is a great price You could probably sell those "overnight" for $800-1000 when you "find" your Chorus speakers. Did you consider Cornwall's or is the footprint too large? Haha ... pushing the Heresy's because once you start on this process you will be upgrading anyway ... Heresy's, then Chorus, then Pro speakers, etc. Haha; been there, done that Cheers, Emile

    Bohemian Rhapsody

A pretty good actor ... but most of the stuff seems to be 95% actual Queen/Freddy Mercury ...
  9. Emile

    Bohemian Rhapsody

Yeah ... can't wait ... checked the "torrents" and not available yet Was in London when Freddy Mercury died ... people crying in the streets
  10. Yeah ... bought some Apple stock today also ... made $500 But lost $36--- (add zeros; haha, not showing the actual number) Oh well; Monday will be better
  11. Yeah ... hold on to your seat Just bought some more AMZN
  12. OK; updating my PC that's connected to my AVR ... 20 minutes ... updates still at 4% Now you know why I just wanted to "add" another hardware box
  13. Haha ... Recouped 70% of my losses today. Time to open a bottle of wine Cheers, Emile
  14. Yeah; the "drop" hurt Actually the last 2 weeks have been bad But, contrary to many opinions above ... investing in the market is not gambling ... it is just smart money management. Or haha, you can buy lottery tickets. Probably a good time to "buy" more stocks Cheers, Emile
  15. Haha ... thanks ... yes, have one of those hooked up to my AVR ... works great. Problem is I just don't feel like "starting the PC" next "finding the file" etc Was hoping for a solution with "just" a remote control
  16. Hoping to catch some advise from the smart guys here Have a NAS server (QNAP 252) with music, movies, etc. Works perfectly with my newer smart TV's ... direct DLNA access to all the files and all audio/video streams perfectly. But ... have an (older) Panasonic Viera Plasma TV in my living room ... when I try to access the NAS, it first takes several minutes before it even finds the NAS ... then much longer to load audio files ... and usually "NO" video files. (And of course my AVR (Onkyo TX-ZR810) "only" streams music; no video. Yes; no problem turning on a portable and shooting it to Chromecast, then to TV (via AVR). But ... it's a pain in the neck. Plus, love my plasma TV; not ready to replace it (yet). So; is there an easy way to stream video "directly" to my TV? Chromecast direct doesn't work since it is only a "receiver." Tried Roku ... same. Tried my Sony 4K BluRay player, but it doesn't see the NAS. Any "easy" box to add which will enable direct NAS access? Many thanks, Emile add-on ... know there possibly are some software ways to do this, but prefer the "hardware route."
  17. Haha ... member swashmuf has some extra amps and speakers for your club ... you can move the party outside
  18. They are pretty good, but ... Had a pair; thought they were loud, bassy and boomy Good for rock, hip-hop and rap (haha; just guessing ... "don't do" the last two categories ). Found them lacking in "refinement" for classical and sold them
  19. Think a PM to the moderators with "suggestions" would have been more appropriate than this approach BTW; THANKS to our moderators ... think they do a GREAT JOB Cheers, Emile
  20. Hi, welcome to the forum Sorry, but have no recommendations but like to hear the answer on your (above) question also since I have a Marantz 1060, 2238B and a 2252B. Love the sound of them (And ... FYI, had a 1060 on my Fortes for a while ... got a VTA-70 tube amp and sold the 1060 ... never was really pleased with the tube amp ... sold it and got another 1060 a couple of weeks ago Cheers, Emile
  21. Jeez ... you are right ... should have known since I have 904's with 510 horns But ... guess they "all" can be painted
  22. Remembered a forum member had his 904 speakers ... 510 horns painted. See http://www.klipsch.ca/blog/klipsch-kpt-904-speakers-frankenstein-edition
  23. OK; got $800 into this Would I do it again? No, probably not, but it was "fun." Wife doesn't like it, but it is fun hearing visitors say "my parents used to have a console like this ... sounds awesome." And with the RF-3 speakers, Marantz 2238B, Oppo CD/DVD player and Marantz 1600 TT, I think it sounds better than many $1000+ (modern) systems. Cheers, Emile

    What I Got Today!

OK; did not buy anything for about a week ... could not resist any longer A (German) PatheWings case for my Marantz 1060. Yeah ... long story ... had a museum quality 1060; then got a tube amp, so sold it ... but the 1060 was better than the VTA-70 tube amp ... haha; sold it and bought another 1060 ... no wood case, so bought one On the way from Germany BTW ... these guys supposedly make very nice Marantz cases (and maybe some others also). Usually they are $200, but sometimes they put some up for auction on FleaBay. Haha ... got it for $120 Cheers, Emile
