@wvu80 the only stats I ever heard were that less than 5% of high school players ever made a college team and something like 1.6% of college players ever made it into the pros. Additionally, I don't really think you'd enjoy watching TBDBITL share a half-time show and pay the big bucks for tickets. That gaggle from ❌ichigan wandering aimlessly on the field??? I'll slip into this for a couple minutes and maybe explain or not explain a bit more. I don't know if you've ever had Klipsch speakers before but they are very efficient speakers. It doesn't take 10k watts of RAW power (lolol) to run them. You asked the question and you got some great answers from these guys. They're ALL trying to help you out in their own way. The top 3 is a tough question to answer because everyone hears things differently and with your speakers being as efficient as they are it doesn't take a $2k system to drive them. $1k is a great starting point but beware it's truly a slippery slope w/gear. Try hitting some of the retailers like BestBuy and listening to some of the gear. That might help explain things more. See what they tell you and try to keep things in YOUR perspective. SHOP the sites they posted and check prices. $50 is $50. Yea, I'm also relatively new here and these guys know what they're talking about... Stick around and read. Look in the garage sale section of the forum you might find just what you need. It's all good in here! Well, maybe! I hope that helped ya man... 😂 😂 😂

I'm running a PrimaLuna Integrated into my LS and it sounds great! Still wating on my "out of stock" phono stage so I can hit the vinyl. My room is approx 12-14 x 20 and the amp doesn't even waver... Dead quiet at idle and can slam you into the wall in a heartbeat. Clean, crisp, full soundstage w/CD's. The poor man's Mc... lolol

Slipped down to Columbus last evening for the 1973 Ohio State National Championship Football team's reunion dinner. Got the invite from QB Cornelius Green so scooped up the two grand kids and slipped South. Both of them LOVE Corney and he has a blast with them when he's around so we almost always hook-up. Nope, not dragging a camera bag just the cell... Lilly isn't smiling since she lost 4 front teeth and Trenton is ALWAYS on the go... Lilly has two OSU loves, Corney and last years defensive end Tyquan Lewis now playing for the Colts. Last nite she wore her "tribute" to Tyquan t-shirt! Trenton wore his OSU jersey. At first he didn't want a pic w/2-time Heisman winner Archie Griffin then suddenly changed his mind somehow (thinking Corney). I did learn one thing!!! NEVER give a kid a Sharpie to have his jersey signed. After the photo he was GONE!!! Corney, Archie, Lilly and me sat laffin at Trenton workin the masses getting his jersey signed... Former players, wives, older kids and yes, even the bartender signed his jersey. I'm losing it and Corney and Archie are laffin their arses off!!! Yup, both were out cold before we were outta the parking lot! hahaha Great nite for the kids... ME? Not so much! lol Raise 'em right and they grow up to be Buckeyes!

1. I'm OLD and retired so have the time to cruise around auctions but I don't go insanely nuts doing it. 2. It was a local auction, a single Nam Vet I knew, and I knew he bought the best stuff he could get at the PX on the way home. I never heard or saw what he had so just took a drive out for the auction. 3. He had it ALL. Morons/dealers buying everything up and leaving the junk. There was the box full of cables and the HD-600 buried in the bottom. The feeding frenzy was happening so I sat on a chair and waited. While they were gloating over their buys... BOOM, I owned the box for $2. Picked it up and left. Sure I nose but I don't buy and re-sell. I see something I want/need I buy it. I picked up Joe's lil Schiit headphone amp here, threw an old cd player on it and cracked the HD box... AHHHMAZING!!! I have the SM3 preamp and a 3150 power amp (last new Amazon price was $10k before Perreaux stopped selling in the US).. Peter Perreaux cranked out some great stuff! Incredible sound IF you can keep it on a short leash! hahahahaha
