Yes, a bit close...but PWK spec'd them for 12 feet and they are not that far off. You will be hard pressed to find anything better. Dave

Paul Klipsch Documentary
Mallette replied to CoreyHHowell's topic in Klipsch Museum: General Discussion
Outstanding, Sir! The resources here are vast. Jim Hunter can quote him word for word having working directly for him about 3 decades, plus has some 25k or more documents in his care by PWK. We look forward to meeting you...and you should introduce yourselves to the Heritage line of speakers. Only then will you understand his genius and our devotion. Regards, Dave -
Ron isn't much for any online site. However, he comes to Pilgrimage when he can. Dave

Rather doubt it. Dave

BTW, going to do it on unfinished scrap so as to make it at least look nerdy... Dave
-
Definitely going to do this as soon as I can. Sounds marvelous! Thanks fort the heads up. This is not remotely a nerd project. Just follow the instructions and look up nerdy terms like hard drive and OS if you have to. If you can handle Ikea instructions you can do this. Dave

Looking forward to it. Going to CA leaving in the AM tomorrow, but don't expect to be there very long. Inprocessing to Beltsville is mostly by snail mail. Dave
-
All sounds great and looking forward to it. Thanks. Dave

So you don't have to look it up, he is asking "What year were the 508 Altec speakers made, more or less, thanks." Dave
-
My pleasure. Dave

You should be able to post at will now. Your link was removed as they are not allowed on first posts, but you can do it now. OK, maybe "pretty lame" as well but I don't make the rules. :-). Dave

Outstanding! I will be looking forward to it. Dave

Hear, hear! Let me know where you are. Took a job with the FDA in Beltsville and will be traveling light...Klipschless. Going to need a fix at some point. Dave
-
Yes, not looking forward to the cold...but at these rates I can afford to stay warm. Heck, might lookup @thebes. Not sure who else is around there where I might get a Klipsch fix. Dave
-
As I mentioned above, since they seem very anxious to get me on board and no clearance is involved, should be a month or less. Dave

Won't cancel Beale until I have a firm offer. However, they seem very anxious to get me on board as I just interviewed last week, heard from my boss this morning, his boss about an hour later, and HR shortly thereafter. Pretty sure it is solid...but won't cut the ropes on my main parachute until I am sure the reserve is good. Dave

Here's one for the books...got an 18k raise without ever showing up for work. Now, it's the FDA in Beltsville, MD. Cold, yes, but I can afford to stay warm and it's only half as far as the CA job so I can come home a lot more often. Dave

Link was removed. I did not follow it, but read the TOS before posting any more links. Dave

Best I can do is Evan Williams and Mowie Woowie at the moment...but it's working for me. Merry Christmas, my friend! Dave

Gilbert's a turd, Gilbert is...

Serious thanks, Gilbert. Really miss yowing with you, my friend. Still hope to visit someday. I could learn so much from you about smoking and cooking. Dave

Okies, just went to Kansas City to pickup my Caddy CT6 with Super Cruise, a 2500.00 option. Think I am calling this thread. It drove me flawlessly and hands free from KC to Fort Smith, AR, where I had to drop to full driver assist which handles all but requires hands on. 200, 000 miles of approved highways for SC and all the way from Texarkana to Yuba City, CA where I will be headed for a job with the Air Force in January. BTW, also goes from 0-60 in 4.3... I am humbled by the level of tech on this thing. Truly extraordinary piece of engineering and far safer than I could ever be. Had one vehicle come down a ramp and enter the highway about 2 car lengths ahead and 10 mph slower. Car reacted with the precise braking required and resume speed when I moved to the left lane. Made a believe out of me! Dave

Southwest Audio Get-Together
Mallette replied to Pete H's topic in Forum Meetup Planning + Past Klipsch Pilgrimages
Don't recall that being an issue or anywhere near the pool when we met there year one and had a system on the cement area behind the motel. Dave -
I had to redirect him several times, especially on angle of breast carve and how to separate the thigh, etc. Dave
