Sounds like your going to have two nice trips, have fun with your brother.

It would take a big room but if your going that crazy just use double bins there easy enough to make, and a nice giant folded or taped horn sub. A nice 30' X 40' room would do nicely with about 25 seats or just pillows so they can be removed and make a big dance floor.

I think that would be the smart move, there sound will amaze you after they are set up and balanced.

After thinking about it a little I might try just using phantom and see how that sounds. It's not a big deal to leave the all forte Ht, but in the long run I may do something. I have a feeling after I hear the MWM/402 sounding much better than the fortes I will want to do something different.

I use 3 forte ll's across the front and original forte's for the rears and the extra forte ll for a rear center for 6.1. So I would stick with the forte if I were you, you are not going to find anything that will even come close to that sound for twice the price you would pay. For rears speakers some of the post before this had some good ideas, the rears are not nearly as important as the front 3, keep them matching if nothing else. You will be shocked what a forte HT & sub will sound like, guaranteed !

Not sure about your hearing but it's possible you just ran across something that sounds close. Did you try the pink noise receivers send out to balance speaker volumes, that's a sure giveaway if something sounds different. It's possible the RC-3 is just voiced where it sounds close enough for it to work as a center with the Forte's ? The main thing is if it sounds good to you it's close enough !

Almost forgot some of my favorite midnight movies, anything Monty Python, sometimes they would play like 3 hours of Marx Brothers movies after the midnight movie, one after the other. The good old days, they would even stamp your hand so you could go outside and recharge and get a drink to bring back in all for one price.

I agree, which makes me think of Pink Flamingos, or anything by John Waters. Movies by john Waters or the movie Rocky Horror Picture Show would play at the midnight movies, of course you required to be [:S] when you got there.

You exactly right, and that's the fun part. I am cheap and always will be..........most of the time not by choice. As far as what others have and how much they spent on it does not matter to me, I cant hear it from my house anyway.

OK I'll try it if you say so...... Also think about this, everyone always talk about headroom, if a speaker was designed to have good fidelity in a huge room or theater and you use a fraction of that power and sit within 20' quality should go up I would think.

What part of the country do you live ? the Polks look about the size of the Rf line, you may have someone not far from you who has Forte's, Chorus, Cornwalls, Heresys or even the Rf's.
