tigerwoodKhorns
I just bought "The Complete Clapton" on 180g vinyl. I heard the CD playing in a record store and thought that I should get it, but wanted vinyl. This is one of the best engineered albums that I have ever heard. The mix is just outstanding. MechMan
There are soo many...I have a copy of "Diary of a madman" that sounds stunning. Never thought an Ozzy album could be recorded so well? Also I have a few "Blues Brothers" albums that sound very well recorded.

colterphoto1
Ian Hunter - Shades of Ian Hunter. A must-have for any serious Mott the Hoople aficianado. From a review: Sides 1 and 2 are Mott, while sides 3 and 4 are Ian solo. Side 1 is a "Mott's greatest hits" collection, and side 2 is a B-sides and not-on-any-albums collection. It includes a previously-unreleased live version of Marionette. Side 3 is a "best of" collection of Ian's first two albums, while side 4 is a collection of Overnight Angels material, including the non-LP single England Rocks. I will have to find new copies of these, as it seems, mine have been worn out just a tad. Must have been that 70's thing! Tom
bluesboy
I think Live at Leeds by The Who is the best live rock album.
colterphoto1
are we in search of musical pablum that is well recorded and pressed or ROCK AND ROLL with soul that speaks to you?
nu2toobs
I'd have to add Little feat "Waiting For Columbus" as one of the best live recordings. I think Live at Leeds by The Who is the best live rock album.
HDBRbuilder
What about Ten Years After recorded Live? "One of these days..." is great on that one! (Maybe I'm the only Alvin Lee fan on the forum??)
bluesboy
Alvin Lee was great. Probably the fastest R&R guitarist ever. Another excellent live album is Love You Live by the Stones.
