Colin
When you need to get your beat going, what songs do you load into your MP3 player or iPod for when you exercise? What songs really move you and get your tempo going?
Boxx
Two tunes come to mind right now. Both from the Allman Brothers. Jessica (from An Evening with The Allman Brothers Band) ... Elizabeth Reed (from At Fillmore East) These versions will keep you going for for a while.....

billybobg
I used to jump rope to Hollywood Nights by Bob Seger. Required a good cool down before ramping up again.

Islander
Ska music is great for exercising, since it has lots of energy and is nearly always cheery-feeling. Oreskaband - Cooler Society: Reel Big Fish - Take On Me: Buck-O-Nine - My Town: Listening to this kind of music gives me more energy than a handful of power bars. Colin
Just how music impacts the body during exercise, however, is only slowly being teased out by scientists. One study published last year found that basketball players prone to performing poorly under pressure during games were significantly better during high-pressure free-throw shooting if they first listened to catchy, upbeat music and lyrics (in this case, the Monty Python classic “Always Look on the Bright Side of Life”). http://well.blogs.nytimes.com/2010/08/25/phys-ed-does-music-make-you-exercise-harder/?src=me&ref=general Home theater and music systems: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Audio-Tube-Amp/150506214964988 http://www.facebook.com/pages/Big-Ole-Horns/142663002431283 http://www.facebook.com/pages/The-Tweaking-Audiophile/146749135337225

NMMechEst
Metallica - "Saint Anger" is my top choice, accompanied with Korn, or System of a Down. If you like bass, there's 1995 style rave/jungle music, like LTJ Bukem sets. Techstep such as Dom & Roland is intense for sprinting. . Dubstep works as well. The first result on YouTube titled "Whoa-B - Ten Minute Dubstep mix" is a bass workout. Anything else goes out of workout and into rockout. Hey, it's burning calories right? Boxx
Well, of course my friends... it's the Hokey Pokey. Or if you are from Oklahoma it's the Okie Pokey. A great exercise tune... low impact, right foot in, right foot out, left foot in, and so on....That's what its all about. Nothing less, nothing more...
