Moderators dtel Posted July 18, 2010 Moderators Share Posted July 18, 2010 After looking back at that site, I am not sure what plant I have, but I do want to order some of those seeds for containers on the porch, they are just as colorful as annuals. The plant I have is from last year I left it out side all winter . This spring I removed the dead plant and used the dried seeds left in the pot and planted 4 pots, there all growing like crazy. I think you can hang up some peppers at the end of the season to replant to be sure they will grow and not just rot. This is one of the plants from last years seeds, some leaves variegated with white also.

Although, they are considered ornamental, they can be very hot. -Glenn

Added mustard water and vinegar. Can't wait to try this one.
Daddy Dee
Seti, what's the end result of this pepper dish? Serve on rice maybe? that's awesome about Amy's family and the seeds over the generations. I've tasted heirloom tomatoes for the first time this summer. They are really really good.

The heirlooms make you never want to eat those bland store bought things. There are some good heirloom seeds on the market we are going to start a few of those early next year. seti
This is enough hot sauce to last us a couple years. Hot Sauces traditionally have outrageous and disturbing names to reflect the heat level. The hotter the sauce thecrazier the name. This batch is pretty much from hell. It shall be dubbed Satan's A$$ Pimple Juice.

When the tabascos are ready when we grill we pop a Corona and toss in a tabasco while we drink it. It gives the cold beer a nice pepper snap to the taste. Yeah I know we may be sicko whacko
fini
We have a pretty amazing seed store down the hiway in downtown Petaluma (my home town). I just ordered their 2011 catalog (free). http://rareseeds.com/about-2/catalog-requests/ I probably already said it, but my heirloom tomatoes this year are: Paul Robeson, Pineapple, Hillbilly and Purple Cherokee. (edit: Oh yeah, I metioned it on page 1 of THIS thread. Oh well...gotta get that post count up....
Moderators dtel Posted July 25, 2010 Moderators Share Posted July 25, 2010 That looks great but i think a little to hot for me. I did grow the wimpy peppers, banana, although I pickle them with some spice. But it will not hurt you like your S A P Juice sauce would. [6] Made 21 Quarts today, 6 Quarts a few day ago, 4 different flavors. There still very hot, they need to cool.
Moderators dtel Posted August 24, 2010 Moderators Share Posted August 24, 2010 OK Seti you were the first person i thought of. I was outside a few minutes ago and noticed a pot of peppers had a dead plant in it so i take one of the peppers off the dead plant and break it up in the pot to maby sprout some new plants. i come in and 10 minutes later scratch my eye forgetting about the pepper. I had to first wash my hands then try to wash my eyes, it burns, and the whole time standing feeling stupid I am thinking of what you said.
