Marvel
Sad to hear... He produced some albums for some friends of mine (Brian Gentry and Ken Marvin, even got mentioned on the wikipedia article about Dan). I played lap steel on one of the songs, and he played on a couple of others. I never got to meet him though, studio recording being what it is. mark1101
Sad. I have seen America a few times and they always did a great live show. This prompted me to do a lot of reading about them today, and they are still alive and well and touring. In all I read they still deny the "horse" was ever heroin.............although their first few albums all began with an "H" (and it goes unexplained), and Dan Peek discussed escaping heavy drug use to follow his Christian beliefs after splitting in 1977, when they were at their peak. Still, glad they all had good lives and families and can continue. Their songs have really endured.
