billybob
Welcome to the forum! Looking pretty good, and bet you could get them for $800... Or wait and see if they drop some. A chance someone else could come along. If close go see and hear...
billybob
Having the tweeter upgrades looks a bit built into the price.
billybob
If you think it is a bit rich for you, nothing like an upclose and personal with the speakers. The pics are one thing but mintlike instead of mint may be closer to the reality. Seller may take less in a quick cash transaction. I would offer $650 just to size up the situation, myself if in the market. Good fortune1
postalman
thanks Billybob. appreciate the reply. this is my first foray into high and speakers. an old college buddy's father had a pair and I remember being impressed by them. but that was 20 years ago. the little research I have done, I do agree that the Tweeter upgrade is a good thing. the refinishing that has been done as far as I'm concerned is easy enough as I do all my own carpentry and refinishing at home. the hard part will be talking my wife into letting me lay down so much cash. she just doesn't understand. I'm sure I'm not alone on that one. thanks again
billybob
Yes if you can show what they seller wanted and a nice difference in what you pay versus the awesome ChorusII, you should be sitting pretty with her. I like a good bargain myself and, cash talks. Sometime, it speaks alot.
billybob
Can be a good investment depending upon what is paid.

jason str
I wouldn't let mine go for that price, its hard to find clean examples.
postalman
Sancho, thanks for chiming in. Either way if I look at it that way, I would be paying higher. Jason, I am hoping that I don't have to go so high. I have a threshold and will just have to see if I have to get to it.

If these were in AR, I would be in Postalman's driveway with my truck. Edited January 10, 2014 by Max2

SonicSeeker
I owned the exact pair in Oak and regret ever replacing them, one of the best all around speakers I have had. Go get them.

John Chi-town
See if you can reach a deal on the phone and send or leave a deposit. Those are very clean and worth the asking price if they sound as good as they look. I doubt they will last a week, Best regards, John
