JL Sargent
You know, the guy had a rocky time there. I guess it was time for a change. I do wish him well. I had a hard time liking him though. You?
Boxx
And NE lost another, not good not good at all. I see today that Bo has been given his "walking papers."
The Dude
You No, I know he was hard on the kids at time. But I liked him, thought he had some good coaching talent(not the defensive coordinator), but with the right recruits he could do good. As I am going through some anger issues where I try not to yell as it gets you no where. However maybe its just that loud out there and he realizes the players can't hear him if he whispers . I couldn't see it being do to his record, heck Osborne's recorded wasn't that good his first 7 years. But it is what it is.
Sancho Panza
Nebraska's expectations are high, given the current climate. How many lineman come from Nebraska, as compared to the past?
The Dude
Mike Riley, am I missing something here? Could you knowledgeable football gurus explain why we would get rid of a coach with a winning season to bring on a coach who was 5-7 this season and 6-6 last year. JL Sargent
I can think of a few reasons right off the bat: 1) Played football at the University of Alabama 2) 6-2 bowl record as a head coach 3) In 2008 his Oregon State team beat then #1 ranked USC 27-21 This could work out. Give the guy a chance.

JL Sargent
He also coached 3 present NFL QBs. He never got the talent at OSU equal to that of Nebraska. I think he is gonna surprise some people.
wvu80
Congrats to Marshall...winning their Conference Football Championship. Great season!! If it weren't for a single point, a 66-67 loss they would be undefeated. I don't care who you play, 13-1 is a pretty good season. It took 2 int's in the 4th and a TD pass by MU's nationally recognized Cato for the Thundering Herd to go ahead with 1:50 left in the third quarter 26-23. Mustang Guy can breath easy now, and wait for the Zaxby's Heart of Dallas Bowl Dec 26, probably against Rutgers or Illinois.

JL Sargent
I'll be for whoever they play. I thought you were an SEC fan? But I guess you are a Jameis Winston fan? Congratulations. Around here we root for the SEC team If Miss St or Ole Miss had made it, we would root for them.
