derrickdj1
Two hundred is all you really need. Just get an amp that is 4 ohm stabe. It is OK to run the speakers at 8 ohms this way. Edited July 22, 2014 by derrickdj1

Scrappydue
Any avr unless you buy used that has pre outs will be almost top of the line and will be expensive.

If you want the Harman, you might consider this... I've been considering getting one as well but really have no need at this point in time, but am considering getting a 4K TV in the next 6 months. http://www.harmanaudio.com/search_browse/product_detail.asp?urlMaterialNumber=AVR%203700-Z&status= Edited July 22, 2014 by johnnydrama

CECAA850
If you're buying separate amps, why not just buy a PRE/PRO ?

Porn_Star
yeah this whole 4k thing is killing me, i mean seriously, can it be that hard to let any type of resolution pass through an avr? it doesnt process it or what not just switches right? i was thinking about bringing back in my 354 as well. but then i remembered it wouldnt allow 4k and i was back to square one. cubdog
When I had my RF7IIs I used them for two channel only powered by Bel Canto M300 mono blocks. That probably doesn't help you much but they made a nice system. cubdog
W27
Where are you getting your 4k signal from? Most of the better bluray players (like Oppo) have dual HDMI outs. So no need to pass. One goes to your processor and the other to the TV. I second the Marantz and B&K recommendations as well.
Porn_Star
mainly from my computer. i think the xbox one will have 4k as well. its been ruled out that the ps4 will not have 4k id rather it all be simplified and have less buttons to push every time i change sources. i cant wait to hear them with about 200 to 300 watts! i bet they will sing!! It was cheap enough to go out on a limb and test, if it sounds good then it will stay, if not, I'll find something else. The 6000 was recommended by a few folks. @8 ohms it claimed 440 watts.
