cyto
Has anyone here put glass tops on black La Scalas? I was planning to do this after re-painting them but now that I have done that I like the way they look and am not sure it will improve the looks. If you have done this please post a photo. Thanks David

Schu
to be honest OP... there probably isn't anything that has not been done here at one time or another.
Turbox
I've seen glass tops on speakers before, its ok I guess. it depends on what your trying to achieve. if people are going to be putting things on it, glass might be a good idea. On my one la scala, that seems to be a bit if a $#^@ magnet, I have a cloth on the top of it.

Marvel
3/8" ... Those must be heavy. Looks great and would do the job, for sure. Bruce
Dr Morbius
I have 1/4" on my pair of Cornscalas and looks good as well as protects. Just don't expect it to produce better sound!
garyrc
Do all of you have a way to hold the glass down so it will not fly off in an earthquake? [West Coast perspective].
USNRET
Do all of you have a way to hold the glass down so it will not fly off in an earthquake? [West Coast perspective]. Of course I do. I used Liquid Nails and had twelve holes drilled in the glass so I could use 2" drywall screws thru the glass into the $4000 speakers. Tinted liquid glass was poured into the countersunk screw holes so they couldn't be seen. Humor aside, why would I worry about that? I expect things falling from above would be more of a concern.
