jordan122345
Alrighty here we go guys and gals I am putting my almost perfect black klipsch rb75 bookshelf speakers up for sale to a good home only I do have the original boxes as well as the grills which are also in perfect shape The speakers are really in almost perfect shape all the way around They sound unbelievable and look just as unbelievable As everyone knows these speakers do not come up for sale very often at all The tags are goofed up only because the original owner which I purchased these babies from bought them from an unauthorized dealer This does not affect anything other than when new 10 years ago they did not come with a manufacturer warranty and that's it I am asking $675 plus shipping and insurance These buggers retailed at $1200 a pair when new and I have seen them go as high as $1100 for a used pair in cherry So of course an awesome speaker for an awesome price Edited February 22, 2015 by jordan122345
CECAA850
If it's any consolation, even if you bought them a week ago from an authorized dealer and sold them, there would be no warranty. It's for the original owner only.
jordan122345
That's kinda what I was getting at I guess I know, these go for a pretty penny with all the correct stickers and serial numbers so how big of a price difference in price is it
CECAA850
Can you post pictures of the speakers and stickers?
Moderators Youthman Posted February 11, 2015 Moderators Share Posted February 11, 2015 Honestly, I don't think there is any significant value in the serial numbers not being there. This is just my opinion. The important thing is if they absolutely rock like RB-75's do. That's all that really matters.
jordan122345
Yep as soon as I get home
sadie777
I just bought a pair a few weeks ago for $650. They are black. The only other pair that was for sale close to me was about 2 yrs ago and they were asking $800. They were cherry and included some stands. I bought off ebay. Seller was originally asking $895. $650 was the max I would have paid. I don't know if that is a good price or not, but they rarely come up for sale, so I jumped on them. jordan122345
I got ya . Well sounds promising I will also include some sanus sf22 stands in my sale pictures coming soon
jordan122345
So they were purchased originally through an authorized dealer (audio excellence inc) So I dont know if they put the stickers on or the purchaser of them did But the tags are completely wrong all the way around Now the look, feel, and sound correct minus the tags
BusaDude
Is it possible they are "B" stock, sold by that dealer? Would that account for the funny looking tags? Because "Max Input PWR 75 Watts" is definitely not correct... Have you tried calling/emailing Klipsch directly to ask about the serial numbers? http://www.klipsch.com/rb-75-bookshelf-speaker/details Edited February 11, 2015 by GPBusa
jordan122345
As far as I know they didn't make b stock with these speakers or at least the black ones anyways
jordan122345
I will call them tomorrow about the serial numbers and see what they say I can't seem to find an email address for product info unfortunately
BusaDude
I will call them tomorrow about the serial numbers and see what they say I can't seem to find an email address for product info unfortunately There used to be a direct email address listed for these types of questions. But evidently you need to submit it through their web app now... http://support.klipschgroupinc.com/
willland
The average "value" for a pair of RB-75's is around $650.00. I paid $665.00 shipped from Tacoma, WA with original boxes for my cherry pair and would have paid $800.00 if push came to shove. IMO, RB-75's are worth every penny at either price. Good luck, Bill
CHASLS2
What makes the RB75 stand out so much?
Ceptorman
Some people call them a downsized RF7ll. Just a very well made speaker.
jordan122345
Okay well I will see what they say about the serial numbers and post them for sale accordingly but sounds like with the sanus stands I will put them at $725 does that sound about right Edited February 11, 2015 by jordan122345
jjptkd
What makes the RB75 stand out so much? The 8" horn with 1.75 Titanium diaphragm, gives it a big, detailed sound, same as the RC 7 / RF
CECAA850
I guess I'm missing it. What exactly is wrong with the stickers? If it's the wattage rating, Klipsch has screwed them up before on numerous models.
jordan122345
I have never seen klipsch stickers like this before that's all I am on hold as I type
