NOZ
I am in a big debate with myself. Do I sell my La Scalas or my Rf-7's? I love my Las and the RF's, they both have there advantages, but I find that the La Scalas perform a little better (fuller) than the RF-7's do. I have received the SVS ultras,(WOW), and they seem to go a bit better wit th La Scalas. So far. I am leaning to keeping the Las, but the RF's are so good looking, that they would match my HT better. Any advice? I have to unload one of the two, wish I didn't have to but you know how it is....$$$ Thanks for any opinions. j-malotky
NOZ Keep the LaScalla's. If you sell them it will Haunt you forever.... For me - IMHO - Sound over looks anytime..... JM
MattD
Now, how good a deal can you give me on those RF-7s? -Matt
Soundthought
I'm with Jim, totally. Sound over looks anytime. Sell the RFs. You'll thank yourself later. Don't get me wrong, I really enjoy my 7s, but LaScalas are just bitchin' by comparison. LOL. Especially, after a good 10 years, or so, of break in. LOLx2.... just kidding..mostly.. Besides, you'll probably have an easier time picking up some cheap used RF7s, later on, than you would some LaScalas'. IMO ------------------ You should of heard just what I've seen. WMcD
Audio Reality makes a very good point in making choices on what to sell and what to keep in any setting. If you look five or ten years down the road, the LaScalas, we think, will hold their value or appreciate. Therefore they are a good keeper. On the other hand, the RF-7s, will probably depreciate in value. At worse, you can later purchase the same type or their sucessors, for less money. ShapeShifter
Think you should use one of the three options below: 1) Sell the Reference and keep the La Scala's 2) Keep the La Scala's, sell the RF-7's. 3) Sell the RF-7's. ------------------ KLIPSCH IS MUSICf> My Systems f>s>c>
Mike Lindsey
I think you have to ask yourself, what is more important... Home Theater or 2-channel music? If it's HT, I would say keep the RF-7's... if it's 2-channel, I would say keep the La Scala's. I replaced my Chorus II's with La Scala's and I can say for sure that my HT is not as good as it once was. Not so much HT, but definitely 5-channel DVD-A. I now have La Scala's up front and Chorus I's in the rear and there is definitely a difference in timbre. Fortunately for me, I listen to 2-channel 80% of the time and without a doubt, the La Scala's have it all over the Chorus's (imho). Especially with the Scott 299 I am now using for my 2-channel system. For more on this click here . If it was me, I would keep the La Scala's because music is more important to me than movies. I think you have to ask yourself what is more important to you... Mike ------------------ My Music Systems
jweed
Keep the LAS, sell the RF-7s. I have used the LAS in home theature as well and a quality sub with them is no match for the RF-7s.

SCOOTERDOG
I would keep the La Scala's. If you sell them you will kick yourself in the u no what. Yes I have sat and listen to the RF7 and find them to be very nice and dynamic. I guess if I never owed my La Scala's I would probably spring for a pair. I have listen to many Klipsch over the years and there are some extremely nice sounding ones out ther, but one thing my friend. If you have ever sat and listened to Khorns or La Scala's, which you have you would never want anything else as your main speakers. Remind yourself of this before you sell them away for good. If it is because of a size issue that you must sell. keep in mind the La Scala's are only another !2" or so wider. ------------------ Denon AVR 3801 Onkyo M504 Power Amp driving the mains Technique A-10 DVD Audio/Video Player Pioneer DVL-909 Laserdisc/Dvd Player Dish Network Dolby Digital Sat receiver Mitsubishi 50" Screen Mitsubishi HSU-575 HiFi VCR Klipsch La Scala ( Mains) Klipsch RFC5 Center Klipsch RSS6 Surround Side Klipsch RSS .5 Back surround Klipsch KSW 12 Subwoofer Denon DRA-295 Stereo Receiver Driving Outdoor Speakers Boston Acoustics OutDoor Speakers My Home Theater Page http://www.geocities.com/scooterb4u/ScootersHT.html
