KENRICK SOUND

Kenrick is a Japanese company that gives premium white glove service.  Their speaker reconditioning (mostly JBL) includes re-magnetizing the drivers.

They have a pretty good video camera that documents their delivery and setup service to customers.  The camera also serves to advertise their rebuilt speakers with some pretty good music.  I bet they have a ton of money tied up in electronics to make those speakers sound that good.

Good stuff.  B)

They are excellent. But their speakers run into the tens of thousands and up. Their are lots of plans out there to build your own. Populating them will be more difficult, though. I sold my 4333a's to a guy in Dallas that builds cabinets off JBL's plans. I have tried to convince him to build me a set of 4355's, but it is down on my list of things to do right now.

I don't how it would sound, but I was thinking something like a pair JBL 5460 sandwiching Fastlanes Eliptrac 400.    There are other model horns out there, JBL was the first one that came to mind.  I believe Altec Lansing had something similar.

JBL 4333B

TAD 2402 + 703

Quad 57

WE 15A

Note: The K55V is a phenolic copy of the 555 driver on the 15A horn.

Isn't it odd that the WE15A sounds more lifelike than any of the other newer speakers?

I would love to hear a pair in person,

Do you by chance know the recording used to demo those?

Found it.

You don't realize how good that driver sounds until you drop back to it.

Maybe that is one of my issues. I love the sound of my stock Heresies and Cornwalls.
