CECAA850
Agreed, I just watched the video on youtube. Looked like it started as a lean and she just let it go either intentionally or her legs gave out from exhaustion.

CECAA850
According to the electronic judges images, the trunk starts at the tip of the boob.

CECAA850
I found this too, just for Eric. There’s no question of the legality of Miller’s dive. The rules say a runner can go to the ground across the finish line as long as he or she doesn’t impede another in the process. Even though Miller appeared to slightly cross into the lane to her left, it happened after the finish line and she didn’t impede any other runners. CECAA850
Guess I was wrong when I said she nosed her out then. She was nipped at the line.
Jeff Matthews
NBC Nightly News just had a segment showing this was not the first time an Olympian runner dove to the finish line to win. In fact, during qualifying rounds to get into Rio, it happened to our same runner (Felix). She gracefully acknowledges the rule. Carl Lewis agrees with it. wvu80
The worst performance of the day had to be this male Russian diver, the defending Gold medalist in the event. The dude does a front double flippity with a couple of twisties, pretty routine jump. He fades sideways off the board by about three feet and then does a face plant into the water with a belly flop. The judges were unanimous across the board, giving him a perfect score of ZERO. (see video below, it's brutal, and you can't help but laugh) http://rare.us/story/another-russian-diver-gets-a-big-fat-zero-this-time-its-the-defending-gold-medalist/
teaman
The diving was kind of crazy this year. Wind gusts over 40 mph yesterday was causing people to flip and flop all over.
