Seadoc
Mallette that is an awesome picture and I am so jealous. I bet you can hear the crickets, when the Klipsch are between tracks, and nothing else. One more year and then I can trade the puke of city life for open solitude. Mallette
Actually, just got back from a couple of days there an hour ago. It's addictive. My worship this morning was sunrise listening to a Spanish Renaissance polychoral mass, Missa Domine Dominus Noster with "His Majesties Sagbutts and Cornetts." An incredible experience that couldn't have been bested by being at high mass in St. Peter's. Dave
Zen Traveler
The only place I really appreciate music is in rooms such as our Klipsch Home Theater Library listed below and similar spots--When I'm out amongst nature I don't want any sounds that aren't from that environment. That environment is the source of music. The wafting of a Rogier polychoral mass or a Brahms string quartet through those woods blends with the gentle breeze rustling the trees, the birds, and becomes something truly sublime. Music time is after supper in front of the campfire as the sun is going down. I rarely put anything on during the day. OTOH, must admit that trip before last I put on Firesign Theaters "Roller Maidens from Outer Space" and it was pretty extraordinary.
