oldtimer
Sad indeed. I remember seeing him live when he opened for Grover Washington, Jr.
DizRotus
Rehabilitation Counsellor turned scat singer, he will be missed. The message is, don't announce your retirement.
Mighty Favog
When I was selling mid-fi gear for a large department store in the early 80's, one of the reps came in to demonstrate the Genesis Physics line of speakers we were carrying. On the model 44's he use "We're in this together" to differentiate the beginning kick drum to the bass guitar. Also that the back of the voice coils had "O" rings on them to buffer any bottoming out at high volumes. And odd memory but AL brings it back 34-years ago.
