Vinyl - Record Spinning

Full Range

This really looks like it's going to be a fun topic. I really like being back into vinyl. I really haven't had this much passion / fun with music in a long time.

I was for along time only interested in home theater. To be honest I really started to get back into music / analog after a get together with guys on this forum.

I actually went to get a feel for Dolby Atmos.

I tried at first to rig everything through my home theater processor....I hated the way it sounded...decided to pursue and buy Yamaha amp/preamp.

I went out and bought the same turntable I had when I was 18. Maybe it's an interaction thing for me . Don't get me wrong I could just pop a cd into the Oppo and listen.

But for me taking the record out of the sleeve/putting it on the platter doing a quick discwasher cleaning...making sure the volume on the preamp is down ...then slowly bringing it up.

just seems to fit ...for me that is . Guys ....sorry I do not have anything to contribute ...spinning wise that is..... but I hopped on a plane to visit my mother....just thought I'd check in.

Didn't mean to ramble on,

This album is from an English band called New Order

They had very poor packaging

On this particular album, only one track is recorded per side, both have a hypnotic and very distinctive drum beat

Artist  - New Order

Circa 1983

Title - No Title see Track names

Track 1 - The Beach

Track 2 - Blue Monday

From my collection, this would be one of the best musically brilliant live albums I own and I have 4 in total from this artist

It's a mixture of jazz fusion, prog rock and so much improv to last you a while and unless you truely listen you will miss a lot

Artist - Bill Brufford

Album - Brufford Tapes
