Didn't Shultz bring him out in the early 70s right after the big concert? Did not see him in the first Charlie Brown I saw. Getting excited early this year huh? I'd be wondering if Santa could top the trove that you've posted the last couple pages!

That's about 30 years old actually and The Gang are high on the "like" list for me. Hallmark had the set and sold each thing separately for the big money grab. I was thankful for a friend who worked at the Hallmark store. Since they were sold separately everyone on the planet wanted Snoopy so they were almost non-existent. She found me one though and threw it in w/all the Hallmark Barbie collectibles I'd been buying each year for the kids. I just leave them out cause it's always Christmas around here. Ha! @billybob IF I had a burner I'd be happy to. IF I charged 10 each I'd only need 14 more guys then the album would be free and that's always good. 😂 2

Dave1291
I can't remember who made the "code breaker" CD burner. Maybe it was Marantz. I had one years ago and burned countless CD's for friends. Don't even know what happened to it. I've always had zero interest in CD's. I do know a board crew that used to burn an entire show thru the board and into a bank of 25 of them. Then they booted them for $50 each after the show. Hotcakes! Who WOULDN'T spend $50 for a CD of that specific show. Thing was... They are STILL big and tour a lot. Told me the band didn't care it was just pocket money for em. Nutso and I'm not tellin! I don't think it would happen today but... 1

Dave1291
OK, just found the skinny on the Hendrix lp. Are You Experienced, debut release by The Jimi Hendrix Experience returns! Analogue Productions' UHQR, the pinnacle of high-quality vinyl! 33 1/3 RPM Ultra High Quality Record release limited to 20,000 copies Mastered from the original tapes and cut to lacquer by Bernie Grundman Pressed at Quality Record Pressings using Clarity Vinyl® Purest possible pressing and most visually stunning presentation and packaging! Regarded as the greatest, most influential debut release from any artist! Analogue Productions presents another UHQR classic title — Jimi Hendrix's classic Are You Experienced. And working together with Quality Record Pressings, this reissue is a true collector's gem — an Ultra High Quality Record (UHQR) release! This stereo UHQR reissue will be limited to 20,000 copies, with gold foil individually numbered jackets. When it was first released in 1967, Are You Experienced turned the music world upside down, as Hendrix showed everyone exactly what it meant to be "experienced." Hendrix synthesized various elements of the cutting edge of 1967 rock into music that sounded both futuristic and rooted in the best traditions of rock, blues, pop, and soul. It was his mind-boggling guitar work, of course, that got most of the ink, charting new sonic territories in feedback, distortion, and sheer volume. It wouldn't have meant much, however, without his excellent material, whether psychedelic frenzy ("Foxey Lady," "Manic Depression," "Purple Haze"), instrumental freak-out jams ("Third Stone from the Sun"), blues ("Hey Joe"), or tender, poetic compositions ("The Wind Cries Mary") that demonstrated the breadth of his songwriting talents. Not to be underestimated were the contributions of drummer Mitch Mitchell and bassist Noel Redding, who gave the music a rhythmic pulse that fused parts of rock and improvised jazz. Jimi's thoughts on the recasting of his debut album in the U.S. by Reprise Records, who added "The Wind Cries Mary," "Purple Haze" and "Hey Joe" to the original 11-track list, aren't entirely known. But Jimi did vocalize his frustration during later stage performances that "Red House," his superb original blues composition, had been pulled from the U.S. album. The U.S. track version released in August 1967. Included are the group's first three U.K. singles "Purple Haze," "Hey Joe" and "The Wind Cries Mary." This UHQR is remastered by the legendary Bernie Grundman from the original analog master tapes. Each UHQR will be pressed at Acoustic Sounds' industry-leading pressing plant Quality Record Pressings (QRP) using hand-selected Clarity Vinyl® with attention paid to every single detail. These records will feature the same flat profile that helped to make the original UHQR so desirable. From the lead-in groove to the run-out groove, there is no pitch to the profile, allowing the customer's stylus to play truly perpendicular to the grooves from edge to center. Clarity Vinyl allows for the purest possible pressing and the most visually stunning presentation. Every UHQR will be hand inspected upon pressing completion, and only the truly flawless will be allowed to go to market. Each UHQR will be packaged in a deluxe box and will include a booklet detailing the entire process of making a UHQR along with a hand-signed certificate of inspection. This will be a truly deluxe, collectible product. MicroMara
@Dave1291 @billybob not not a poor joke , possible with Dave´s PC and the Nowsonic PC Interface for 50 bucks only ! Nowsonic Phonix is a two-channel phono preamplifier for connecting analog sources such as turntables and line devices (e.g. cassette recorders, DVD players or even musical instruments) to a computer. The input signal is converted to digital in high quality. Phonix is connected to a PC or Mac via the USB port and can be used for high-quality recording and playback of audio data, digitizing your analog records or tape recordings and thus preserving them for eternity. Thanks to modern driver technology, AD/DA conversion at 44.1 or 48 kHz is possible with vanishingly low latency. Phonix is supported directly by the native device drivers in the operating system. A separate installation or maintenance of software is not necessary. 3 2

Dave1291
Spot on @grasshopper He blew his stack cause he loved that song. Heck of a song too! @billybobI don't know what all you're running but I really don't think it would make much difference. This album is truly state of the art and sounds totally amazeballs. ANYone who loves Jimi will engage like never before. It's that good. Zero noise anywhere in the lead in and when it starts it just takes your breath away. PURE JIMI just as it's meant to be. It's freakin fantastic. Nothing but Jimi, Noel hammers the bass line and so many people never believed Mitch Mitchell was THAT good on the drums. THEY will find out cause he sounds amazing too. SOOOOBernie lit the studio fire and this thing is nothing but pure goodness. 4
